One of the greatest Fears of people who dont believe in God is try to use every means to debunk the existence of God. From Socrates to Plato,Darwin ;their theories are Evolution,relativeism, Neo, and so on and even turning the Bible upside down in their reasonings and arguments. Many of the so called disciples of these 'great' philosophers after fruitless search return to become Apostles of Jesus Christ.
Another fear is the life after death,they they try to prove that nothing like Heaven or hell; but most I have had contact with still have fear of death,not sure where they are going; many ended up immensing themselves in occultism, serving Devil.
Anyway God has given us the free choice and every man is responsible to his faith Deuteronomy 30:19; John 6:53-64.

The bold is true. No matter how much they pretend, the fear of hell still grips them thats why when we talk about it they feel threatened. Hell fire cannot be wiped out because some people decided to believe that it does not exist.

Confused why everyone thinks atheists are scared of hell or death. Death is natural, everybody dies. I could die today or tomorrow and thats life. If anything you should welcome death. Even if i was a christian the idea of praising God for all eternity sounds like a boring heaven anyway...

I will die just like every mortal; only God is Immortal and after death judgment that determines destination of heaven and hell. God is not interested that any should perish.

Reason, not faith.

Actions, not prayer.
Morality, not religion.
