Your car will definifitely consume fuel if there is a issue with the power train system.
The powertrain system is part of the car that perform the fuel management and emission control and if there is any issue in any part of the system ,you car fuel mileage will be poor.Get a professional who knows his onion to diagnose the issue with for you before fixing .If you are in lagos and you need a professional diangotics expert ,call autologic @08061166316

Same thing applies to me o.p. I use 2001 camry too,the car gulps fuel like mad,some people told its becos its american spec,its 1 litre to like 5km,20 litres cant do me for three days for my local movement,checked on spark plugs and its ok,the ehxaust isnt showing any sign of black smoke. Am really tired of this car,am considering selling to get a corrola. Some advise to buy a catalyst converter(indomie),d mech handling d car for years now cant decipher d problem, and pls someone mention power up there,whats it and how does it work,am based in ilorin. To the gurus in d house pls what do u advise.

20 litres can't take you to drive around different axis of ibadan in a day when you ain't using a micra or yaris. So using the number of days for judging fuel consumption is not it. What's the mileage and duration you've being using the car? Have u asked similar envelope ownerz within your district what FE they get?

.o it doesn't jerks at all even with a.c on, very stable. I use quartz 5000 total.

Bought it 3 month ago, met it at 201 km. The longest i drive mostly is from home to work which is not up to 3km,av ask around...this envelope consumes fuel differnetly, beside d fuel ish d car is all correct,cool engine,well balanced and superb a.c.

Ok. Maybe your car has a V6 engine. Else if there is a problem you would have check engine light on the dashboard or rough movement of the engine. Also check if the exhaust is not leaking too

Bro that means it does roughly 18km on 20litres. A Tundra V8 cant be that worst. You need to find a diagnosis asap because PMS might be 195/litre by Xmas lol

Ahhh so there's a check engine light. Just scan first before anything. The codes pulled out are the pointers you need

Where's ur location? Any warning light on the dashboard? If its Lagos gbagbe because idling in traffic with AC will make your car drink fuel like a frog or fish as some posters in this section has used the simile.
Tho the mpg is still low. You should do about 70km minimum to 10 liters because that 43km sounds asif you're driving a pathfinder or tundra

I am having problem with my Camry envelope as well. I usually uses #1500 fuel from my house at Sango, Ibadan to my work place Epe, Lagos for over 2 years consecutively but for like two weeks ago, I found out that I am using #2500 for the same trip with same speeding manner.
The exhaust is not leaking, no black smoke, plugs are good. Please any straight forward advice?

Do you have check engine light on the dashboard? Scan the Car and you work with the codes that will pull out.
