Obviously Musa was not playing up to the level expected.. Ndidi must have impressed the coaches enough in training for them to make that call.

Then why did Ndidi not play that role in the Friendly Games? That is the question that needs an answer. Did you read of Ndidi as a right back in any of the friendly games? I never did.

Your point three highlights precisely my point. I know that most times, bias choices happens because of the weak favor of experience players. That is why Yakubu Aiyegbeni, missed goals upon goals and kept his place. He missed until the woeful unforgettable World Cup miss before the scales fell off people's eyes that he was passed it.

Select who is better than that experience thing
.

Not inserting myself into the experience talk but the bolded got me. I may be wriong, but I dont remember Yakubu being someone who missed goals upon goals. He was always a great finisher and have also always thought his miss wasn't what cost us the game against Korea (which came when we were still behind). Rather, Obagoal's miss of a sitter when we were already level and needed just one more goal to qualify ultimately sealed our fate

Westerhof wasted no time in dropping a big game player for a fresh better option. Westerhof regularly drilled his players and screened them.

Most things I learnt watching his training session stuck to me. It was after Westerhof I started hearing things like experience.

Westerhof will bench any big game player that does not meet up. Fact. Benched a big game player like Ekoku for missing a sitter.

Maybe u meant issue of experience never occured to you until after westerhof.

Just like as in every profession experience counts alot bt this is relative as different positions in a team jst like different professions require different levels of experience.

There is no coach that is not midfull of the place of experience in d defense and goal keeping departments.

Then you missed. Big time. In the AFCON with Berti Vogtz, Aiyegbeni missed and missed until Obafemi begged Kanu to talk to Vogtz to replace Aiyegbeni with him.

The guy kept on missing but kept his place because of his experience as one of he top EPL strikers.

You feel insulted because I said the Npfl should be Musa Muhammed's fall back option?

Ur insult could never have been directed at me as i am not Musa. U r trying to make it seem like he won't get offers in Europe as he is not that good. Like i said don't use npfl to cover shade, is it only Musa that u want to bring back home? Why don't u wish that on ur favorite player. The boy is trying to be a bread winner for his family and u are wishing him owed salary and i'm the wierd one for opposing it, go figure.

Overtime, I have studied it, Westerhof had no place for experience. He only had space for the best. As soon as a regular drops form, he had a younger replacement ready. It was after Westerhof went that the competition dropped and I started hearing a player should keep his place because of experience.

He was still our best striker because we refused competition. That is what I am pointing out. You allow a player miss until he becomes woeful. He was the only one upfront. No other person given a chance. That does not mean he did not become awful and keep hi place up front.

Good to hear but how does a Sub in a scrimmage game becomes the pick to start in an important clash?

The reason why it is difficult to find a young keeper in such positions is most times, most National teams have two top keepers who are ahead in abilities than the younger ones.

As I said, if Enyeama and Ikeme were in the team today, we would not have this debate. What I am pointing out is that, Enyeama and Ikeme will Outshine most of our other keepers in training. They will not start because of experience but ability.

That is the same fate this time. We have our top two keepers out and who ever mans the post should get there based on ability and not experience.

When De Gea and Asenjo were young promising talents, Reina, Cassilas and Valdes were ahead of them in ability.
Ok then, we are cool like that. The key point is for the SE to come out with maximum point.

Unbelievable! Wow! Just wow...
I never knew I was shading Musa by suggesting he came back home to the Npfl if he fails to secure a deal in a good club in Europe.
Accept my sincere apologies.

My recollection of AFCON 2008 is that we hardly created chances in that tournament and Yakubu still managed to score. Our only chance against Ivory Coast fell to Obafemi and he missed. Maybe that is why Berti Vogts refused to start him subsequently.

Meanwhile tell me how Onazi is the better all round player please? Has Onazi ever being in a team that finished second or even third in their league? No, and even when he was in a top 4 team, he was a bench piece, a squad player, so please(with facts too)tell me how he is better

Oga, you are wrong. Onazi played as an AMF for Lazio youth team and sometimes as a St/SS.

Before I begin answer ya questions, have you agreed that Onazi is more experience than Ndidi?

Screen, know the regular right-back and try him in scrimmage games. I repeat, I doubt Musa Mohammed would put up such poor defensive display as Ndidi did at the right-back role.

We presented a very poor team in Ghana 2008. From defence to attack the team was dogshit.
Imagine that lumber Jack called Junior Agogo out foxing our defenders and somehow scoring, knocking us out when we had a man advantage for the greater part of the game.
It was an Afcon not to remember.

Experience counts just as talent(best player at that moment), it all depends on how you balance things out. Remember when Rohr said he is going to pick is players according to their performance in their club, but he made exceptions to some players. Mikel was part of the exceptions he made, that is what we call experience playing is part. So we must at all times know when to balance experience and the best talent at the moment. There are some position in life that needs experience or talent or both. Happy saturday.

How else do you screen players?

The coach felt that he did not measure up to the level, he wanted.

All yak's goals counted to nothing at Nairobi.

Can still remember that Our only life line was to WIN n our fate hanging on d outcome of d match between Moz n Tun. Banking on Mozambique to either draw or defeat Tunisia in Maputo.

Yak started d match n we were already a goal down in d first half.
D introduction of Oba by late Shuaibu restore parity. But this same yak saw another clean chance to double t but went to hit d upright before luck brought d ball back to him to tuck it in. Oba's second strike ensured our qualification.

Bottomline: Not taking anything away from yak, he still remain one of our top striker. But he was already passed t in d green white green before d winter of 2010...

Celtic 13 year old wonderkid Dembele has been invited to play for one of scotland's youth sides. The Scottish football Association fastracked him to prevent him from playing for Ivory Coast. ( according to the daily mail)

Hopefully, he plays for ivory Coast when he is old enough.

If we find a really good prospect, sometimes it is ok to fastrack development so as not to lose him to another country.

High Flying Turkish Side Declares Super Eagles Defender Musa Muhammed Surplus To Requirement

Super Eagles right full back Musa Muhammed has been told to search for a new club in January by high flying Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.

Since joining the team last summer, the 20 year old Nigerian is yet to make a single appearance for the Turkish side, and he is presently viewed as the fourth choice right fullback of the team.

So far he has just five professional appearances to his name in over one year at the Turkish side, and the table toppers in Turkey have made it clear that his services are no longer required.

”Yesterday when they played Galatasary, I spoke with a member of the team shortly after the game which they won 2-1 away from home to maintain their fine start to the season. I asked
about Muhammed’s situation and I was told he
has been told to leave” Turkish journalist Adnan
Adem told Owngoalnigeria.com.

”As a matter of fact, he is aware he is not needed even before the start of the season, one wonder why he stayed behind. It’s a pity but he hasn’t really grown”.

This Club is so wicked.
They knew he was surplus to requirement yet they never allowed him play at the Olympics.
I blame his agent as well. He should have worked out a loan move for him, hence he was aware of his slim chances at the beginning of the season.

Hmmmmmmm What a Club.
