Pls I learnt that BY Mafit are offering a promo that runs till 15th of this month with a price slash from 65k to 50k for the GRE plus 3 resource materials. Now that sounds too good to be true to me as it leaves me wondering how they will eventually make profit. Please, how genuine are those guys? Just trying to make sure I don't have issues with writing the test or assessing my score or stuffs like that. Anyone who's registered with them and actually written the GRE under them previously here? Pls share your experience. Thanks.

I registered under them and I am wrote my exam today. no problem whatsoever. They are genuine and professional. Kudos to them

Good morning house, i have received a lot of emails over the weekend and i appreciate the enquiries, the list comes in form of a study pack along with other study materials and is currently for sale at #5,000. However if you have the four list of schools you want to apply to, simply paste them on this platform and i will post their GRE score requirements here as well. Thanks..
Attached is a page from the Revised GRE Score list.

At first I wasn't sure whether to post this or not, but after reading that some people on the thread are thinking of rewriting I decided to share my experience so they can gain from it.
Anybody that read my first post would know I wasn't satisfied with my quant score, so I decided to rewrite. I knew I didn't need that much further preparation, so I chose the earliest possible date after the 21-day rule. I finally wrote it again yesterday, about 25 days after the first. I had Q167 V158. The key to having truly great scores in the quant is practise questions! Throughout my second preparation I never opened any textbook, because I knew I already had the basic knowledge. I started with magoosh videos; I only watched about 150 of them before my first test, so I watched the rest. Then I subscribed to high speed internet and practised tirelessly with online resources. The good thing about online resources is, after seeing your scores you can review and get detailed explanation on all questions(including the ones you get right - you might learn a better/shorter way). I started with kaomanfen.com. The questions here aren't too tough, so by the time you solve 10-15 full lenghts, you should be having scores close to 170. (I skipped the AW and verbal sections of the full lenghts.) Then I went to Kaplan's site. They give you access to one full lenght for free, but you can access the other 6 full lenghts with the passcode "response". The six tests were extremely helpful. I had 162 in the first test, but after reviewing answers to all questions, I saw gradual increase in subsequent tests. By the time I got to the sixth full lenght, I had 170! I also did princeton review's online practise questions and a few other random ones.
For those preparing, you don't have to read ALL the textbooks that have been mentioned; stick to one or two and read it from start to finish(I used Nova in my own case). Then watch all the magoosh videos and then do a lot of practise questions. All the best!

I registered with them. They are legit. Just don't leave everything to them. Create your account yourself and give them your username and password, then change your password after you get registration confirmation email from ets.

I finally wrote the test this afternoon at Lag. Got a score of 158 in QR and 154 in VR. The exam was challenging but I give God the glory, couldn't have done better if I practised more. I will give full gist later.
Exactly the scores I had, congratulations

So I called ETS again today and they told me my scores are on hold. No reason given but was told that when scores are held for further review, there is a chance they might be cancelled.

So really, is this what I get after months of sleepless nights trying to earn good scores? I can't even explain how depressed I am right now. I have TOEFL to write in a couple of days and I can't even concentrate now to read. What the hell is this? I have application deadlines in 3 frigging weeks!

Sorry guys for the rant. Needed to vent.

Thanks. I will try but it's so difficult right now. Congrats! I love your scores. Very well deserved. I hope ETS does not hold these wonderful scores. I don't know if it is now a crime to rewrite the test.

finally got to read this long post, though i was not notified when u edited ur 1st quote, can u explain how to get the keywords, cos i get fagged out when reading passages and feel tempted to skip reading the passages. thanks for taking ur time to explain this

As you can see from the images, there may be not any rule of thumb for determining keywords. Repeated practice is just the way to go. However, some words particularly jump at us and you can always use such words. Words like names, or stylistic qualifications can help as the examples I attached may show.

1. You can use "long-billed" to scan through the passage and it will be helpful. Long-billed is the qualification for the type of bird being discussed and it helps narrow the search down to the latter part of the 2nd paragraph.

2. Foreign ecosystem is another word that jumps at one in the second question. You may as well have searched for billions and it would have yielded the same result. Practice helps train your eyes quickly enough to find such words in a real exam situation. I hope this helps. Sorry for the belated response.

That's a hasty response and it could very well be wrong. Most banks (save for Standard Chartered or so) use the subsisting black market exchange rate.

Hmmm. Rather disheartening. One cannot tell what the issue might be but like others have said, be positive.

My hunch counts for nothing at this point but I have a good feeling it will end well. Summon strength to prepare for the TOEFL and do well. You may get the good news about your GRE the very same day.
