I know Nigeria is not Lesotho but we really need to avoid committing fouls DAT would lead to free kicks at d edge of our box or close to d goals. coach Rohr reality has a lot of work to do and let's not get carried away by d fact DAT they drew at home to Cameroun cos we re going to face a very solid team. wish d super eagles d best of luck.

If you base our performance on what we played enroute AFCON, then we won't even win Zambia.

A team may have many stars and still be reduced to zilch against a weaker team ask Arsenal and City after playing Middleborough.

And we will consider Cameroon a lot because we need to use whatever they used to nullify the Algerian attack in their own backyard.

Let Rohr and the players worry about these things, none of us will be on the field on match day, so, why worry?

The two teams that played the finals of the previous world cup didn't play ticki taka. Germany and Argentina had proper midfielders with strength and steel.
The last Euros the finalists Portugal and France had players with incredible energy and steel in the middle.

I checked on his stats and noticed that he had won 4.4 ariel balls this season while the closest Nigerian defender won average of 3+...

Interestingly, Zambians never threatened from set pieces. And Omeruo though he struggled but he still dominated Mbesuma and won almost all the aerial battles he went for.
Ndidi was stuck on the right, he didn't have to do any job aerially, he was too occupied with Kalaba.
I can't even remember the Zambians playing any corner kick

Nigeria youth international Dele Alampasu has
emerged as the fans favourite in Abuja, where the Super Eagles are presently training ahead of their World Cup 2018 qualifiers against Algeria in Uyo.

Alampasu one of the three goalkeppers jostling to replace injured first choice goalkepper Carl Ikeme has been impressing the coaching crew with his reflexes and confidence between the sticks.

He thrice picked out crosses with ease and
barked out instructions to his defenders like a
seasoned professional regardless of the fact that
he is the youngest goalkepper in the team.

The highlight of his performance was a strong
save from Manchester City forward Kelechi
Iheanacho who thought his effort was creeping
in, until his former U-17 teammate pulled out a
stupendous one hand save to keep him out.

He appears to be the fittest among the
goalkeppers in camp, although the experience of Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa could give them an edge in the battle to be named between the sticks for Nigeria against Algeria.

Who told you that aerial balls only have to do with set pieces? Do you know when balls are cleared from the back, it goes up? Do you know crosses go up? To use set pieces as the only aerial ball highlights why I say you only read data and hardly understand what you watch.

Ndidi drifted to the center during the game to help. I would not spend my time explaining tactics to you. I give a hint. When Echiejile overlapped, sometimes Omeruo moves to the left to cover the gap. In such position, Ndidi adjusted to give the central defence solidity.

This is not reading stats and arguing like you understand what you are talking. You do not know what you see. Shown many times in your argument.

You did not see Ndidi in the central defence when the Zambian player dived. Was that at the right-back position? Sorry. You do not understand what your watching. Just reading stats.

Ideye Back In Training For Super Eagles

The trio of Leon Balogun, Shehu Abdullahi and
Brown Ideye are back in training with the Super
Eagles after missing the team’s first training
session with varying degree of knocks.

Yesterday Ideye and Balogun didn’t train with the rest of the team even though they were present at the pitch, they had light session with the team physio while Abdullahi missed the evening session and wasn’t even at the pitch.

Also today’s training has taken a different
dimension with the intensity higher than that of
yesterday, and players pushing to be recognised
by coach Gernot Rohr were at their best.

It is expected to be their last session before they travel to Uyo, the venue of Saturday’s game against Algeria where they are expected to have an evening training session behind close doors.

Who doesn't know when one full back attacks the other stays back to give support to the defence incase of a fast break.

Funny enough, in your review after the game you were all over the place slatting Elderson for not offering much in the attack. If he didn't bomb forward according to you, how come Ndidi always stayed back to offer support as a third man?

My point was that Ndidi didn't have to Dominate aerial battles because he was not in the line of fire.if he had played as a DM or a CB he would have battled with the Zambian striker Mbesuma who Omeruo tracked all game.
Except you're saying Rainford Kalaba was the Zambian target man.

Battle For Second Choice Goalkepper Intensifies As Rohr Drops Big Hint On First Choice

The battle for who will be on the bench as the
reserve goalkepper when Nigeria take on Algeria
this weekend will move to a whole new height in
the coming days as the game approaches.

Already coach Gernot Rohr speaking yesterday
dropped a line that suggest he is already looking
towards who will be his first choice with
Ikechukwu Ezenwa currently favoured.

Daniel Akpeyi and Dele Alampasu are the other
two goalkeppers in the camp of the team ahead
of the November 12 game, but it appears the
German coach has partly made up his mind as to who will be between the sticks.

During yesterday’s session Ezenwa was put
through special drills by goalkeeper trainer Alloy
Agu while Alampasu and Akpeyi were involved in
full scale training with the rest of the squad.

”We have a goalkepper who has been with us for some time now, he has played test games for us against local sides. That alone is an edge but we have to consider other factors as well before
settling on who will be in goal” He told
Owngoalnigeria.com during a chat before their
training.

Special drills because he has not played for 2 months so that he will be up to speed.. I am certainly not confident in Ezenwa..
