Mine doesn't allow to Use the 'Only' options.

I'll work on the UI thingy.
Thanks smiley

How far did it go with the webui thingy? Did u get it to work? there are 2 available updates; one has USSD but not 'Only" function, while the other has the "Only" function but not USSD. So for now the safest UI that has both is the MTN Customized UI 17.100.15.00.200

The problem now is getting specific network customized Web ui or even a Webui that supports both USSD and changing network type like 4G only option. For instance, after unlocking the MTN MiFis yesterday, I lost the MTN webui. The new Webui doesn't include USSD or the "Only" option.

By the way, I got the black Spectranet E5573s-606 today, for 25k, and came with 30gb and unlimited night browsing. Like honsule told me yesterday, Spectranet has updated to the newer firmware v21.315..... that requires boot shot method. So I'll try to do it myself, maybe tomorrow.

Now, about the boot shot method of unlocking, what do you think would best serve as a tweezer?

I'm thinking we should create a thread for the boot shot method and share ideas and also troubleshoot. What do you think? I hate it when some people try to exploit others when, in fact, these tutorials are free on YouTube.

Kudos to honsule who does it for free.

Nice suggestion bro. Maybe honsule should open a thread for it and drop the link here for us.

After several attempts and errors, I was able to unlock the mtn mifi but lost the web ui. I get mainly 4g on auto network and yet to see 3G in hours. The only issue is that the default web key is not working and had to connect it to a computer to create a new wifi key. Is there a way to rewrite the default web key? I rewrote the serials and imei suscessfully back to defaults.

It depends on how the unlock was conducted, my MTN webui was intact and unchanged and so was everything else, i only boot shot the board in order to enable the 3G interface in the port com and then used the usb loader as instructed in the video i posted earlier and explained in the description.

Based on my research however, it's almost impossible to get a working UI with USSD and "Only" option, infact only a UI from iran has the "Only" option, then only the universal UI ending with 983 has the USSD option, but the research continues. But as stated earlier if ur MTN UI is still intact pls don't downgrade it, it's a lovely piece to have.

I would advise you play around with ur mifi, it's kinda fun, i bet u'll enjoy the unlock process. i had to search for the boot shot video in order to stop the unnecessary exploitation of people on this thread for something we all can do ourselves. my anger being that all the tools were put out there free of charge, they didn;t develop the tools nor the process yet they're ripping people off..SMH

As for the tweezer issue; any metal with sharp edges can serve, you either use the picker in the precision tool bought or u improvise, i used one of my wife;s hairpin, i just cut the edges to an angle to get the pointed edge (abeg no tell her oh......lol).

as for the thread thingy, i think it's a great idea but for the mean time; anyone interested should just go to the page before this one for my post on the video and tutorials on how to unlock the 320 via boot shooting....

I think it's possible, go through Sulla Hassan's video on youtube i believe u'll get something, just keep us updated. As for the 4G issue just untick "support LTE networks" and u're back to 3G and 2G depending on your network strength, the only difference with the UI with "Only" options being that you can't pin it to just one

One thing I saw about a guys's screenshot is the Only options on android app...

Can we look into that direction ? The guy gave a lead and decided to keep muted.... #SMH

If we could look into variant apks that would support modem. Maybe we might find ones that support 'Only' options for the apks since the apk is remotely connected to the web Ui

Awesome suggestion i love people who think outside the box kudos bro, unfortunately i've checked huawei hilink which is the app used to sync ur mifi with ur phone and the option is not available, what's available is still "support LTE". But we'll keep searching cos if you can think about it then it;s definitely possible

Huawei HiLink doesn't determine the functionalities you see. it's the web ui installed on the Mifi that does. Whatever is not available on the installed Web ui can't be seen in Huawei HiLink.

I did bro, i downgraded to the 606 universal firmware; calculated my unlock code then downgraded to the 320 universal firmware before inputting the unlock code and after all said and done i still had my MTN UI intact and untouched, like i said earlier the only thing i had to do differently from unlocking a regular 606 was to boot shoot and then use the usb downloader to load the first firmware after that it was smooth sailing...... infact with one of my mifis i have tried more than 10 different Web UIs but for the other i left it intact.......... sometimes you have to sacrifice for research...lol

So, i was able to unlock the Spectranet MiFi last night. It wasn't as complicated as i had anticipated.

GLO 4G reception is very impressive, i must say. I like what Glo has done with its LTE, that is, deploying it over fiber-optic instead of cell tower. That would ensure better handling of traffic and also better service quality. And band 28 has excellent in-building penetration.

All networks have terrible reception in my flat due to how the house was built. The ground floor is a little bit underground in a way, so that hampers signal. But with Glo 4G, i get full bars everywhere in my flat.

Kudos bro, that's what i've been saying all along it's not rocket science, the spectranet e5573s-606 is even less cumbersome than the 320 cos u don't boot shoot the board. U just downgrade, calculate and downgrade again simple, or is urs the ones with the newer firmware? Then u might need to boot shoot.

Hope u enjoyed the experience? As for Glo 4G you guys are lucky; it's crappy in my area I stay upstairs and still I cry sometimes when I use it, though i've not upgraded my sim but 3G sucks so no gain saying 4G might simply follow suit. But I might just give it a try one of these days.

Once again well done.

Actually, Of recent, Spectranet only issue Black Spectranet E5573s-606. They no longer have the white one. Now, these latest black ones, all come with latest firmware v21.315.... Which requires boot shot. So I had to boot shot it.
