I like the spirit here. Keep it up. Seriously, where can I get this phone? http://www.gsmarena.com/xiaomi_redmi_2_pro-7710.php Xiaomi Redmi 2 Pro or even Redmi 2 Prime? I have searched many links, I can't find any comforting info. MIA sells pro in South Africa but only base Redmi 2 in Nigeria.

You have to understand that the reason for the battery drain is the helio x10 processor. It's a power hungry soc. That's why the redmi note 2 battery is a write off.

Its not your phone nor is your battery going bad it's just a poorly optimized processor.

You could try using power save mode
Disable sync
Disable live wallpaper.
Disable automatic brightness
Turn off gps

He uses rn3 mtk, I use rn3 sd. So I don't think it's about processor here.

Lucky you. That's means you just need to adjust the settings a bit to get more battery life. Miui 8 is much more heavier than miui 7.

Auto-start apps.

P.S. if sync is off, you won't be able to receive emails. Only my Gmail is allowed to auto sync. But you can disable it if you wish

Are gapps running by default?

Flashed eu latest rom on my rn3 mtk, d rom is dope tho but battery is not normal yet
Flashed miui7,battery was very abnormal cry

Bugs, bugs, and more bugs! This your experiment of different roms must have injected some bugs in your device shocked. I remember after flashing a Bule custom rom in my redmi note 2,the phone never remained the same even after returning to global stable rom. You may need to do a full wipe of your device to get rid of that bug. But don't forget your Helio x10 chip. cool

Miui 8 is heavy and has so many bugs recently. The best rom I have used since getting my redmi note 2 is miui 8 (have used miui 6,7,and now 8 ). I think the very first upgrade to miui 8 was that particular rom. In the last 2 months I have installed miui 8 on two separate redmi 2 devices and they perform excellently well, infact one of the owners made a very positive comment about the battery refusing to die just yesterday. So miui 8 is not bad at all, the developers just messed it up.

I can't say much about redmi note 2 devices since I haven't used any. But for rn3, it's a different thing all together. Both the Chinese rom and global rom are messed up. As I'm speaking to you, the developer rom has been suspended for five weeks now. No official word on why they suspended it. The best rom for rn3 is miui 7.5.3.0. Perhaps they did not anticipate that the Xiaomi brand will grow this big. I do hope they find a solution fast

This eu rom is not even bug free.. And d rom is ok but I experience frequent reboot anytime I try to unlock my phone. When the back light is off, and I put my fingerprint to unlock, the phone will on and hang till it reboots

Make I go download original Chinese rom jawe

No. Google Apps like hangouts, Google play music, chrome, Google keyboard, Google maps, photos and YouTube. These come embedded in the global rom and you can remove them.

Thought they already lifted the suspension two weeks ago. Redmi note 3 is listed in the supported devices.

Yes it is listed because it supports miui 8. But it has been suspended for five weeks now and counting

Cc vosquare it seems you downloaded the faulty rom
