Bros... What you quoted is a post from May 2016....exchange rate was less than 300/$ then and most banks were still allowing international transactions on their naira card

TFactor:

Pls do you the cost of Redmi 3s there?

A few of my friends have bought defective devices. Xiaomi did not change it. It's one story after another. They kept delaying till the warranty period expired.

Use other retailers like ali express or gear best. Most people do buy online.

what do u think about geekbuying. I have been hearing that their services are poor. But theyve got what i want.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Bookiemart01(f): 9:15am On Nov 18, 2016

Oops my bad.. They do. http://www.geekbuying.com/help/Shipping_Delivery/can_you_ship_to_my_country

I think they are not bad.

If you doubt them, try Gearbest or Dealsmachine but those are expensive

okay, i will check those once u mentioned. I googled "geekbuying review" and the views by customers were not encouraging.

People say Aliexpress is safer because when u pay, a third party holds the money till u confirm yr order has been received. Hw true is that?
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Bookiemart01(f): 10:12am On Nov 18, 2016
Yes true... Aliexpress is a market place filled with many sellers. So, an escrow holds funds till buyer confirms receipt of goods

Use two Cards, buy an aliexpress pay card (50 US) with a friend or siblings card, and pay the balance directly with your card

It's easy to do. Go to http://sale.aliexpress.com/pocket.htm on PC or with mobile browser.

Or if you are using app go to My Account. Scroll down you'll see My Credit/Debit Cards. Remove the cards you've exhausted it's limit.

Scroll down to My Aliexpress Pocket. Open it and Click on Learn More. You'll see $10, $20, $50, $100 and $150 aliexpress pocket.

Scroll to amount you want to buy and click on Buy Now.

Follow prompts to add the credit card you want to use to buy.

When you want to pay for an item select Aliexpress Pocket as your method of payment instead of MasterCard.

I bought Aliexpress Pocket worth $400 on 11:11

Bank limits got nothing on me as I have trusted friends who were kind enough to loan me their cards since they don't shop online.

Gracias

Check your account balance to be sure the deal didn't go. Then check whether you've exhausted your bank's monthly limit.
