I need to order something from Benin, to be sent to Ibadan, the parcel doesn't weigh up to 1kg, who has an idea how much nipost can charge?
the seller told me it will be around 1000 naira, but I don't think the fee should be up to that.

You can send it using Nipost Parcel Post. Ask at a General Post Office near you.

Don't know about sending medicine though.

Dear Nipost Team,
I want to someone to help pick up and send my transcript to Wes (Newyork) via nipost as its most affordable for me. How will I go about ensuring the transcript gets to WES asap without delay and issues. What Options are available to avoid stories that touch as this document is of very high importance.
Thanks in anticipation.

Send it by registered mail.
That way, you'll be able to track it from NIPOST website to USPS website.

Hello. Please, is it possible to send food stuff weighing about 30kg and above to the US and UK?
Are there different means under nipost by which you can send those goods? I am asking because I learnt there is the 'conventional' means and the other(ems). What's the price difference between the two? And how long does it take for the goods to be delivered outside nigeria? Sorry I have to ask all these.

I order things from time to time but even though I always use the same address, sometimes your dispatcher calls me personally and even tells me he can bring item to my house, he will refuse to drop the parcel at the post office address where it should be. Is he being a good Samaritans or what? I'm now skeptical about ordering more important items

Why is my parcel diverted from the actual post office address I want it to be sent to? I keep getting it from another post office, meanwhile I clearly linked my order to the closest post office to me

No worries.
No, the weight limit is 30kg and if it's foodstuffs, they should not be perishables.
Yes, there are 2 means, Conventional which is the NIPOST Parcel Post and Speed post which is EMS and it's more expensive.
EMS takes 5 to 10 working days while ParcelPost takes 10 to 15 working days.

Post offices are categorized according to LGA/zones
Have you tried checking if the address you filled is in the same LGA as your desired post office?

I've never had any dealings with Nipost until last year November when I ordered some items from China which were delivered to my doorsteps. in fact they even called me to tell me it had arrived and will be delivered to me.
I think the federal govt has done well in renovating and refurbishing the system

No big deal. Just ensure that when you're filling the details of your shipping address, you choose the correct postal code for the Nipost office you want your item delivered to. For instance, Enugu Nipost postal code is 40001. That's all! You can then track your item to know when delivered or you wait for a call from them to come and pick up your work or more recently, they'll deliver it to your doorsteps. That's for Nipost Enugu sha

The receiver's contact would be used to inform the recipient that his/her mail has arrived. It may also be delivered to the shipping address if they cannot be reached via phone

I need help. I sent household items from Abeokuta to Gombe about a month ago. The receiver is yet to receive only the mattress/foam. I called customer service line but no positive response.
I really need urgent help on how to go about this issue because my friend have been sleeping on bear floor about 3weeks ago with her little baby and this is affecting the baby's health.
This is the main reason I sent these items earlier before their arrival to Gombe.
Thank you.

Hello good NIPOST people,
Please can you tell me how I can identify which Post Office to collect my item from?
I am in Port Harcourt and the tracking states the item delivered at NGRIV.
Please can you advise the code for each post office location in Rivers state?
Thanks!

Re: MY NIPOST EXPERIENCE - Nigerian Postal Service by Toluwaase(m): 8:44am On Apr 10, 2017
I need your help NIPOST ambassador.
I sent my package before reading this thread, I could have acted differently if I had all the information I am now getting from here.

Please the package contains documents and gift items weighing close to 2 kg. It was addressed to a Private mail bag in Ibadan. My question is: will it be delivered to the private mail bag even with the gift items? I have read on this thread that customs sometimes seize packages? What is the fate of my package? There is no tracking number, no phone number, no return address on the package. It was sent through regular mail from Canada
