Hello everyone,i am a silent follower of this thread.I bless God for making it possible to share this wonderful testimony..I just recieved a mail for passport request. It can only be God.I lost faith in my application after reading facts from this great forum..
Applied for PBD in Business administration.(Thompson rivers university).
H.N.D - Electrical /Electronics Engineering
8 years Experience in Oilfield sector.

Please i need advice on this: My international passport expires Jan 2018 and my programme is for 2 years, starting january 2017.I was unable to renew my passport, was told my validity still more than 6 months.I hope this wont cause any issues with my TRV.

You can only renew at NIS Headquarters in Abuja for > 6months validity. I did mine there with 8 months or so validity in August

Lol..You will not develop a BP biko! As as how nau??

Just make sure you fill all the info on the slip they gave you correctly. Cross check again when u input the details. One mistyped letter or alphabet in the tracking number or date of birth you typed may cause that. So carefully do it again.

Alert!!! **** inadmissibility to Canada *****
This is now about a 4th occurrence in emails people have sent to me recently....are you aware that Guys are being "rendered inadmissible to Canada" due to their ignorance and for some... simply because they will just not listen!!!
It is shameful as well as unfortunate that despite various briefings, advises and shared experiences... people still subject themselves to the unprofessional handlings of some agents!!!
It's just that people affected will not want to post on the thread.. .. maybe you would have realised the seriousness of what I am saying.
And also unfortunately... The agent that is involved in all the cases I have seen/read is "GVC"
From cic write up I read....... It is certain that they know these agents and tagged them already!!! Cos I read variously that "I am convinced that your application was completed with supporting documents similar to that of many others presented by a same and known representative....you have been rendered inadmissible to Canada based ...."

Please guys... If it turns out that we are so so desperate and suddenly become lazy that must use a third party to complete your application... Pls pls pls & pls....Its better you let us link you with people who will ONLY help check/assess your completed applications (check all forms, sop and ensure you have satisfied all the conditions before submission).... NEVER adding any documents!!!! Rather than facing this unhealthy situation... and remember if one is affected by Canada, USA won't accept you either.
My advise... Run Run Run from these life destroyers!!!
Regards.

Thanks @Vickyehi,

A correspondence from my faculty stated that I can resume either Jan, May or Sept. However, I was told to arrive somewhere around a month to resumption for any of the semesters I wish to join classes. The admission letter also stated same. So I think you can get clue from there. Cheers. Were you admitted into U of R as well?

Sir you are very welcomed, but you need not to lose hope from a great forum as you called it.i also assume that your job position or role may have been related to your intended program before some individuals we capitalize immediately that they sought no relationship but still he got his TRV approved.we share experiences here and no1 here is trained or certified immigration officer. the chances of PGD/PBD/PGC/Diploma are always limited. if you did examine during july/august/september this year, there was massive refusal for pgc(d) applicants even with perfect application.it was really alarming that we were like if CIC no longer accepts pgc(d) applications. Like i have said before based on assertion, online application do favor for pgc(d) if i start making counts with experiences on this thread. some of this depends on who handled your application..some successful individuals for masters who are still following this thread got refused for PGC program twice. you could imagine when a VO would tell an applicant '' similar program can be obtained in home country, don't know why an applicant is incurring cost for such expensive trip to canada, you can imagine VO saving us cost cheesy. another gcms note read, ''applicant's study duration is a 2 semester program not convinced about applicant purpose of study when similar program can be obtained in short duration in his home country'' bla bla.. when you see such, you will have to know that the VO is against your PGC(D) program etc...every individual is case by case.meanwhile some PGC applicants brought the refusal for theirselves by choosing program that has no relationship but they felt it was related. what i believe is read people's experiences,go back and strategise according to your case/profile. though atimes if you read some people's post don't know if mine is one of them it is discouraging.i can never say your document is small and mr.b own is bigger because mr.a provided what applies to his case/profile while mr.b submitted according to his profile.

Are you saying that Pgd applicants should use online route or paper route? Which is faster?

bro please i never said so,before they will say michV said cheesy.whichever route that is convenient for you,do apply but i said base on assertion from my observation solely on people's testimonies on this thread that greater percentage of approval of pgd/pgc/diploma have come via online application when you have PUT A VERY GOOD convincing APPLICATION OO..

Her moniker here is chrissybaybee. She had an operation for appendicitis shortly after she received her TRV. I never even knew until I saw a mutual friend of ours today who told me about it. I kept on wondering where she was because she wasn't picking her calls & replying to her whatsapp & text msgs & then her phone was switched off completely. I thought she had travelled. The last time I saw her was at coldstone creamery, ikeja and we got talking. I told her about my visa stuff & she told me to go on nairaland 'traveling to Canada' & also watch out for michV, mikymiko, thesoj & all.
tell her i miss her that i wish her speedy recovery.don't fail to tell her that @michV personally said this.

Hello guys,

Please I applied for a study permit and I was refused based on no family ties in Canada and country of residence, travel history and no statement of purpose. Please I have documents to proof the other reasons , how do I proof a family tie in Canada since I already stated in my first application that I do not have family in Canada.

Expecting your response.

Thanks

Dear all, I'm really sorry to derail the thread but i just thought to ask for your prayers for a friend who told me about this thread, since we are a family here. Her moniker here is chrissybaybee. I told her about my visa stuff & she told me to go on nairaland 'traveling to Canada' & also watch out for michV, mikymiko, thesoj & all. She said she just got her TRV through the help she received here & above all God & was planning to book her flight. Please I ask that you all pray for speedy recovery for her so she can go live her Canadian dream. I think her school resumes in January. Thank you.

i agree with you.there is nothing an agent can do for you.it is better you take your time, pains and prepare your application to your taste than allow yahoo agents render your application useless.

@folaroyal can you still respond to NL PMs on your mail.Of recent i can no longer respond to PMs attached to my NL email account. i don't know if this is deliberately done by the admin.

Pls I need advice, I have B.sc geology and a Msc in petroleum Geoscience both from nigeria. I currently don't want to do a phd in petroleum geology considering the current sitiation in the oil industry. I want to switch to environmental management or geomatics. I am currently looking at applying to USASK and University of New Brunswick. I have a feeling the VO will raise a red flag at doing another Msc. I am in a fix. Pls can the guru in the house advice.

I have tried searching through and I have narrowed down my options to MBA programs, environment and sustainability programs (Usak and Western Ontario) and Msc eng geomatics (New Brunswick). For the environment and sustainability masters, having a previous M.Sc is required. Gurus in the house please advice. SOP is key now.

I noticed a while ago and mentioned... the moment you respond, its sends back failure delivery massage!

As per issue above... I wonder why our people won't just stop falling prey.... I currently have 4 of such instances and its so scary!! Funny everyone claims ignorance of what documents the agents used for them!!.. After parting with N300k... Sad.
If you give me 50k.... I'll go to Ghana and look for VOs residence... Na for dia front yard I go dey sleep and wake until dey approve you!!!

Smh @VFS and they won't admit it's their error. This is just one of their many inadequacies. My dear, If you are sure you filled your form correctly with your email address too, be rest assured the embassy will contact you when they need your medical examination with the email address you filled.Just keep checking your email regularly and also your junk/spam mails. If a vital information like email or telephone number or evn contact info wasn't in your application form, it would have been returned to you by the embassy for you to make proper input because they can only stay intouch with you with the info you filled in your form. Apparently, Vfs just deducted money for sms and all but failed to live up to their responsibility of reaching you through that medium. They will never admit this. The embassy will most definitely reach you if they need anything from you. You have nothing to worry over.
Thanks a lot Austinpee4.... God bless. Aswear these guys gon make a niggur develope high blood pressure. Sometimes I just wanna pretend like I got zero worries but down there I know that's not true. To all em TRV applicants waiting on God one thing is certain "IT WILL END IN PRAISE"
