You have to work on your ties and since you plan to go for vacation why not try another country.

The interview has long been concluded before it began. This may be caused by having a wrongly filled DS 160 form. So I'll ask, did you filled the form yourself, and was it rightly filled?

As well, the opinion of applying through a school should nt be entertained coz you're yourself waving a red flag already.

Be your normal self, fill out the form yourself, do not engage agents and apply anytime you want but more importantly, just as your refusal letter 214b I guess, apply back WHEN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES CHANGE.

Be bold, confident and friendly!

You won't get U.S visa by jumping from one thing to the other... And also look for countries that do proper scrutiny before issuing visa to visit.

I filled the DS 160 form myself, everything inside is true about myself. The refusal was based on 214b I don't if I should have told her that I have like 7 children at my age (26).
Well as you said, the interview has been concluded before I came because she didn't even ask me questions like where are you going, are you married...she was just saying yes you're going to so so, and you're married only to conclude with how many children, as I answered one, she quickly issued me yellow paper. Well, nothing spoiled God knows the best.

Lemme share my POE entry and exit.

I renewed the visa last year and the address I put for where I'd be visiting is Florida (this is for people who ask 'I filled so and so but want to go to so so ' questions). This is the 3rd time I'm using this visa.

POE was DFW.
Travelled with my 3mnth old baby.
Met a nice young airport staff that helped me carry my bags from the aircraft all the way to my transport.
She took me straight to the front of the american/Canadian citizens queue. Filled and printed my receipt on the automated machine. I had no X on the receipt so straight to get my checked in bag.
Met the CBP officer on the way out and he asked how long I'd be staying. Told him 1 week, he stamped my passport and bid us farewell.


POE exit:
Was directed straight to the front of the queue again. This time the CBP officer was more friendly. Asked if I was taking my baby to go see his grandma..I told him my baby only followed me on biz.... he looked confused initially but flipped through my passport and saw I only had a visa. Scanned our passports and wished us a safe trip.

The interview was just favor from God, no document was checked..
we were giving priority becos my kids were tired and sleeping i had to carry one and my wife carried the order...
they called us out from the queue to be interviewed

ME: passed the 4 passport to him
VO: why going to the US
ME: going for family vacation

ME: system administrator and I paused
VO: he looked at my face and said for which company
ME: i told him
VO: what are your daily duties
ME: mentioned some of my duties
VO: said ok and asked do you know anyone in the US
ME: NO
VO: faced my wife and asked madam what do you do
MY WIFE: am a stationer, i owned so so store
VO: Good, do you have relative in the US
MY WIFE: NO
ME:interrupted, that was why we booked hotel..
VO: back to me where in the US are you going
ME: Orlando FL, will be taking our kids to Disney, myself and wife will be going to holy land experience
VO:Continuously typing
ME: busy looking at him and praying to hear the magic word
VO: your visa has been approved pick it in 3 days time and passed us a white paper.
MY wife looked at me amazingly and asked "just like that?" while we were still in front of the VO..... looooool.... i quickly dragged her out let us go..

My advice to people going for interview don't listen to side talk concerning any of the VO cos it can kill your moral, just be positive..
The VO that someone said on the queue that is a crazy one that has been denying people, was the same who granted ours.

PRAY AND GO WITH OPEN MIND....

Me: I was shock compare to all the stories I ve read n hear about Vo s dis wan came to me as a surprise o .then I had to come in there to tell him that i ve a wedding invitation for January, but he was not ready to listen , he also asked about my ties but he wasnt serious to listen to wat I was saying but then I kept on talking. lastly d yellow paper.

note: the Vo ( a white guy) was not in a friendly mood at all i notice wen i greeted him n he didnt respond. he denied a lot of people with good ties n he was very fast n sweating all over. he even denied an Ireland lady n her Nigerian husband, tho newly weds.

Are you saying she should avoid sa, kenya and tanzania which are sticker visas compair to ghana by road? and again shouldn't travel and after one month rush to us embassy. i went to sa, kenya and tanzania and after 6months, i got my usa visa. i did a road trip too in 2015 december to ghana before i went to those countries. i just got my uk. i have been to morocco.

No she's not saying that at all.. but if your aim is to get African stickers visa just for U.S visa.. most time it won't work.

Your success story had nothing. To do with those visasz. Please remember each Person is evaluated on his whole circumstance. Do you have the exact same situation with him?
If after being refused, next thing he does is to get those (what are they called again?) Stick on visas (??) Then goes ahead to reapply in january per his plan or soon after; be objective.
Do you think the vo will not see his ruse and view same as desperation?

I only told him/her to try go to other countries and wait for like a year before trying u.s again. some people use desperation to look for visas

Thanks for the good job on this thread.. I posted my transcript around July about my experience at the US embassy. My visa was rejected due to the fact that I was asked why my wife is not traveling with me. I wish I had saw this thread before applying through an agent. He filled the form saying am married with twins.The vo did not check a single document. I will like to share my transcript once again because I want to reapply and am so confused on what to do due to the misrepresentation....

Your circumstances, have they changed now sir?

The VO was not impressed with the way you answered your questions. Abrupt and not convincing. Also look into your travel history.

Is it for meeting or conference?

It is for meeting coming up in june 2017 am also a registered member with membership card since 2007

As you know meeting is different from conference your answer to that question shouldn't be to boost your career... You're career is boosted already just attending the meeting on behalf of your firm.. what you should be talking about is what will happen or take place in the meeting.

But i thought i have a nice case because am thinking of reapply by febuary and the meeting is coming up in june 2017. Please i need advice.

Other countries, its like a formality to get a US Visa. They even have something called ESTA, you just pay a fee and fill in the form and just submit it online (I don't think you have to attend an interview) and board a plane and arrive at your POE in the US, a short interview with the CBP and that's all.

ESTA is for visa waiver countries. And even then, it's no guarantee.
I know a friend who has a U.K. Passport but his ESTA was denied

You can pay for another interview if you're absolutely sure you know what to do right.
