there is nothing wrong in that it calls for better understanding but the person in question might reluctant to agreed because she knows how much you earn as a salary maybe she has weighed your salary into the family hood and feels reluctant to agree.

It's very simple. Since you guys want to get married, one of you should resign from the office. But if the job is too important to you guys then i don't know why you're asking us for an advise.

When I joined my work place my immediate boss and her spouse were working in same organization.
If your office permits that, nothing wrong with that. Just play the man you are, she is a lady, you are supposed to make her do your bidding (wooing) so far she loves you. If she truly loves you have no reason not to make you marry him.

FFS, how large is the office? Is it a large company or a small office only occupying a single floor?

this right here is a red herring. Be very careful, don't be among the m0rons who say "love is blind" or else you would blindly loose both her and your job while she keeps her head up. Fear such women, they are known to be smart but selfish and would lead you to a cul de sac.
