Thanks for the info shared bro.

Pls, with respect to the info on North Carolina, I just applied for a Masters at NC State A&T (with the hope of getting a transfer by Fall) and I was thinking that a RA or TA would take care of the tuition.

I will appreciate if you have more info and can assist with respect to the exact % that might be defrayed from the tuition by a RA/TA offer.

Average cost of housing, available/cheap means of transportation etc and any other useful info will be appreciated.

Thanks.

1. Ask your program coordinator or program director, they will be able to give you exact figures as to tuition costs and how much is defrayed by an assistantship.

2. Use google! Its easy to go on craigslist, type in the name of the town you intend to go and search for rentals... that would give you an idea how much you would expect to pay.

Don't the schools accept unofficial copy? If you have a copy, just upload on the application portal.

[Thanks bro, I appreciate
quote author=fredoricko post=53215515]

The process to obtain transcript is quite straightforward. First you need to have completed your final clearance and have your statement of result. Once you've completed that phase, you'll then need to apply for your transcript to be processed. It's usually helpful if your go someone that works in exam and records.
I got mine within a week[/quote]

Dear altruists, i have been silient follower on this group and i have few questions to ask. But before i do, i will like to introduce my academic profile to the house. I have a B. Eng (CGPA of 3. 9/5) and an MSc (CGPA of 6. 4/7) in Mechanical engineering (Thermo fluid science) with second class upper and distinction. I have 5 publications to my name.

1. I'm on a mission of finding a PhD supervisor in the US. Please what do i need to get in place before making my contacts?

2. Are there schools i need to know that give fundings in my field of study and research? Or how do i find the right school for my program?

3. Sir Walspring, please what are the requirements to earn a slot for the GRE sponsorship? I will be glad if I'm opportune to get one.

Thank you all

You keep dodging the question.

What would you tell the vo if he asked if you were returning to naija?

Vo will hardly ask u such direct question, but whichever question u were asked in dt regards make it clear u have stronger afinity to niaja.e.g if u are married, tell them ur children and wife are back in niaja.....vo will now knw that no matter wat u have sth to draw u back home.

Great profile. You're fit for a PhD program. I would advice you aim for 320 in GRE and try to TOEFL as well. I am sure you can ace the exam with preparation. There are schools you can consult. Try to browse this sites www.msinus.com and www.gradschool.com. I can recommend schools for you, but I'll have to see if they still have funding in that department and would let you know.

All the best. Keep following the thread and people like electronic and renewable.

Hello Good day to everyone, I have a question that need urgent answer

I am currently processing my graduate admission so I want to ask How many documents should be sent to WES for evaluation.
Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by Nobody: 4:40pm On Jan 29, 2017
For peeps who are looking at Maths program, you should check
Kansas State University out. https://www.math.ksu.edu/graduate/support.html
I was informed they fund all their
students, MS and PhD, by a reliable source. However, always send
an email to the head of the grad program to confirm this information.
Good luck.

Depending on the type of evaluation u intend to do with them, they have the required documents for each evaluation type and for each country. Check those required documents at their website: www.wes.org

Some set of people here who are lovers of this thread have come together and decided to give back to this our great thread by given discount to intending student that are willing to write GRE or TOEFL or SAT in order to use it and get funding or assistant-ship from the schools they are applying to.

Only 10 people will benefit from this initiative and with genuine reasons. You can book down any slot at all and this offer will last in the middle of February 2017 which is Valentine's day..

Do not PM or send me private message because it going to be an open offer right inside this thread, also do no ask me who are these people because they wish to be anonymous.

Whiist so many say they have registered for toefel or are planning to register I despair cos I'm still trying to save up to do my international passport. Afterwards I'll figure out how to raise the funds for toefl. Mr Walspring i'd be eternally grateful if I would be assisted on the GRE( as this would increase my chances of being funded) I think I have the passport and TOEFL covered (would do that next week ; most likely)

cheesy cheesy cheesy

But that shouldn't worry you if you've got so many important stuffs doing. Visas are much more easier for those who are so busy and know what's up.

Africa would benefit from America's mischevious.

Hello fam,
Please who knows much about South Dakota State University? Your opinion about d school and d region will be highly appreciated.

I contacted d graduate coordinator of my desired program in d school and he kinda encouraged me to apply, and that I could be considered for TA depending on d application pool generally. Please who knows if it's worth giving a shot? Heard d area is extremely cold, are there Nigerians surviving in such cold region? shocked.....cos extreme cold weather dey fear me, don't know if I can ever coupe with such. undecided

What about University of Wyoming?

And please, how do I know those extremely cold regions in the US?

Thanks y'all

Yes there is a section for that and the answer is inside the paper given to the person that was denied
