Just imagine the way you have been talking , why would you ever think am not serious ? And I don't wanna go to school , so dissapointed with your comment, must we all look for funding ? Or do you know my financial capability? While you out there saying thrash, you don't seems to know me , you don't know the effort have made , please I understand what you driving at , and I don't care if VOs follow this thread closely , unlike your own believe that I wanna enter USA through back door , sorry to disappoint you bro , going to USA is not a do or die affairs for me , I can only keep on trying till my request is granted ok? Am not hell bent on going to USA , and come to think of it , why are you so concerned about the choice of school I choose to attend , the way you talk though, yet you don't seems to know me , don't be rude , please u don't know me , that's all I cld say for now
I am sorry if this sound offensive or bad. I highly doubt your GRE score.

Several problems with this:

1. It's obvious you're not interested in school. Why can't you do a search yourself? Google exists, you can call the program coordinators, use email, why do you simply want someone to mention a school to you? Are you not interested in understanding if the school you want to attend has a program tailored to your interests?

2. You've got a very good GRE score, why no interest in leveraging this for funding at a top tier school?

3. Any serious school will not be taking applications now for entry in April...

Bottom line, you really don't care about studying, it's simply a backdor to the US. What you don't realize is that VOs are active on this thread... it would be easy for them to simply recognize you from all the information you've provided here and tag you for visa refusals henceforth. You don't appear serious even to people here... I can imagine what the VO thinks.

I appreciate what you say and I think I understand that most of it is based on principle. But don't you think your message will be better accepted if you are subtle and mild in your approach?
As much as some of your post make sense, they're often watered down by how you choose to present them. Try to dignify people and not outrightly condemn them.
I may not know you personally, but I can tell you're ill tempered.

I totally agree with you on this. Its not hard to spot a GRE applicant. Their writing says it all.

It's simple, your score is better than most here... who where able to get into top tier schools and with funding. It's either you're too lazy to find a school or you really aren't interested in studying. You can hyperventilate in righteous indignation all you want. I don't have to go to school anymore.

Simple wahs the essence of forum like this? It's meant to enlighten people and inform them on how to go about issues bothering them, do you even know if I have knowledge on how to any for schools with funding , and you here telling me VO might take notice of the way I word and due to this might keep on denying my VISA, are you saying all students who are chanced to be in USA Today came to nairaland to do research or ask questions before vIsa was granted to them, I message of someone in the morning warning you on how you talk to people , you don't have to talk arrogantly to make your point , if you wanna enlighten us good and if not you don't need to jump into people's mention, to me you acting like nairaland e lord for you to have asked me how I scored that mark, what a crazy question from you

God bless you for making this clear to him, can you imagine this guy asking me how I scored 323 in my GRE, felt like crying for real, this guy don't really know what have been through to make sure things work and he doesn't even know me personally , don't know why he is arrogant for nothing he doesn't even know me personally that the funny aspect of it, here to seek advise from people and he jumped into my mention saying rubbish. so if VOs are monitoring our conversation closely , does it means we wld not. E granted VISA? Can you just imagine his sense of reasoning

Thanks for the candid suggestion from you, would do as you have said , I would also welcome suggestions of good schools from you that are still admitting students for April admission season , thanks once again

You know who you are so never try to validate yourself to faceless Nairaland. .....Take any constructive feedback and see how the outcome can be positive. Ignore the -ve

My feedback is don't work towards April... its not how far but how well. Most of the good business programs are fall sessions and while some take GRE most take GMAT... do more research. Search based on ranking and then target some good schools......

and Yes you need funding. EveryNaija does no matter how rich you are . Biko Nigeria exchange rate is not smiling

Apparently, they said they're doing that.
Can I send you a pm ?

So what happens is that sometimes they have to do a manual verification if you have a long name which may take lot of time, depending on how they prioritize stuffs at USCIS. You can send me a message, but you'll need to call them on 1 (800) 375-5283, go through the options applicable to your case. You would ask to speak to a representative and explain your case and why you would need it taken care of as soon as possible. No 100% guarantee, but I've seen quite a few people get lucky with it.

There is something called Priority Deadline; meaning that you have to apply before that time to be considered for funding. Usually it's around Dec/Jan for many schools. Hope that helps.

Awesu122.

April 2017 is late. Few schools have Feb - April deadline which is for Fall 2017. Am not sure you will be considered for funding.

I read your posts, eagerly looking for where you said you searched for schools and came up with this, this and that school. Choosing a school is not a days job, you need to check the websites, note down stuffs, mail or call the dept, deadline, curriculum, tuition, location, requirement, funding etc...get to know every every. It was fun for me.

People can suggest schools for you, but you MUST DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. If someone told me to apply to School A and B, i will still go on the internet to see what other schools are like and make comparison.

If i had your GRE score, i will apply to top schools as well as safe schools. So do you have the schools now? You can list them here so people can tell you what they think. At the end, it still depends on you because its your career, your money and your moniker grin . But pay attention to their opinion about schools, i believe many people here have schooled or live in the US

Well, he said they have been giving visas for CC as long as the person is smart and answers questions correctly.

In my mind, i feel say they have been reading on NL that we are running from Community colleges, he now tried to address the matter grin

Cc LagosNIV, please what's your take on this?

Mr. OluDare01,

I have been looking for you up and down. The PM system is not working. Please something showed up about your school this week and I need to make an enquiry about the application process. I followed an advice by KinematicGuy and I think it's paying off.

First, are you required to submit this health form and sponsor's statement as at the time of application to Tennessee Tech ?

Second, are scanned copies accepted for admission consideration?

I need your mail sir to ask the remainder. Thank you.

Hey man!
No, you don't have to submit health form and bank statement with your application, that would come much later after admission.
Second, yes scanned copies are accepted for admission. You just have to submit the original documents before registration.
And, I did a quick check on you and discovered that you wanna apply to CheE. The chemical engineering department only gave preference to PhD students leaving MSc students hanging. My roommate has not even gotten funding, that's how serious the issue is. Unless you're on a RA;which is better, getting a TA is a long shot.
I have been discouraging people from applying to tech because of the funding issue. Shoot me a pm let's talk better.

Hello house,

Please is there anyone who is in Georgia Tech, applied to Georgia Tech or know much about the school?

I submitted my application to the school late last year before their priority deadline, though my recommendation respondents were not able to submit their recommendation before the deadline; only one did.

Few days ago, I got a response from the Director of Office of Student Services of my desired department. Below is his response:

*************************************************************************************************
Dear Seeker88:

We are in receipt of your application to the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech. You have a very strong file and credentials. Thank you for your interest in Georgia Tech!

You have not been offered admission, but at the present time your file has been made available for viewing by the faculty of the Woodruff School via an internal web site. If a faculty member views your file and expresses an interest in working with you, we will notify you and continue to process your application. This evaluation will continue until April 15, 2017 and we will advise you of our decision at the latest by that date.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

**********************************************************************************

Mbok, is this a mild way of saying that my application is rejected?? angry angry. Please who know how their admission process works angry
Please tell me what you think about this feedback...
Thanks in anticipation....
