I had a hard time in Nigerian consulate in Atlanta, it looked to me the Nigerian employees are very jealous about other Nigerians starting a family in US. She can look at online services, by mail, less expensive and no headache dealing with nasty people

Ask your Uncle how he intends to go about it, he should know better being there or try the immigrant visa thread. This is a visit visa thread

Please, my dear I just need suggestions and advice on how I can go about it.. I explained myself----- and I'm not a ghost to know if he has good intentions for me... And I have not known this person and his family for a short while, I've known them for more than 2 years, even before I came out from Sec school----- it has been a while..

Tell your brother how I can go about..

From all I see here, people do ask questions and they get answers and opinions in positive ways..

God bless!

I am sorry if my response sounded Negative, but its my opinion and an advice. If you cant take diverse opinions, then do not post and question. You have been told by others how to go about, put in work and do some research. Read this thread from the first page, you will get all the information needed.
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by Temple1288(m): 11:14pm On Feb 11, 2017
Most important advice is be very careful, he being an American does not mean his intentions are good. I wonder ho you will meet a secondary school leaver over the internet and suggest adoption...it is sketchy to me. There are perverts everywhere, discuss with your parents and possibly have them discuss with him also.

I discussed that is with my parents, though they weren't excited when I told them, but I gave them reasons why I need to take this step...
We do talk a lot on phone (video and audio call) together with his family..... I don't know what exactly is in his mind, but he's words, and actions shows that his intentions for me are good.. But my problem is that I don't know exactly how to go about this.. To be sincere, I've always wanted to travel to the USA and now I have this opportunity....
That's the reason why I did sought for suggestions here..

The adult who wants to be adopted. You are an adult, (above 18 right?) I don't think the rules of adoption will apply to you. NOTE my 'I don't think' pls. But if you are in lagos, you can go to Alausa and ask.

Please fam, who knows the earliest date for interview. Been finding it difficult to log into my profile to check. @seyewest, help a sis. Thanks.

Abuja has Valentine's day opening, Lagos is February 21.... Let's bother less about the young old man for adoption and internet friendship, he won't hear anything contrary to his desire without coming down soon to abuse us I swear, just a matter of time.

May be adding up in bits now though.... Houston, Texas? Well, for now, Texas plus Nurse, plus a couple with a baby (that may be having a younger one coming soon) visiting one of the couple's sibling (a ready home for long stay for childbirth maybe) equals likely child birth plan in the US! Still want to believe she wasn't pregnant at the time of that interview (at least can be proven now), but just wondering how they "spark these plugs" and come to some of these decisions. Visa wasn't denied because of the pregnancy or suspected pregnancy in itself, but because of the suspected attempt to shield such birthing info during interview IF I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK OF THINKING ANYWAYS.

N.B// If I may ask, your other siblings that went and came back (different circumstances and variables for different people though), what gender are they? If there is any female, is/are she/they of birthing circumstance? Has your sister or anyone of you guys been involved in helping an alien in US birthing before?

Please I needed some Answer as am planning to apply for a visit visa in lagos next month. Presently I reside in Middle East Qatar) with Resident permit but I want to apply for the Visit Visa in Nigeria. I have only 2 reason for applying in Nigeria (1) My wife reside in Nigeria and My Bank Statement will be Nigeria Bank Statement. I have only salary Account here and i dnt keep any money in the Account. My Question is this, will i be refuse visa because i did not apply for the visa in Qatar? What is the Best Answer to tell the Vice Officer when asked why i did not apply for the visa in Qatar.

No, I doubt if your applying in Nigeria in this circumstance will lead to rejection. You have strong ties to naija still considering your wife and finances here. Just add your Qatar strengths to the application; your pay, bank statement and things you have tieing you to there too.... Your tie strengths are more in Nigeria than in Qatar na! Are you applying alone or with your wife? You alone may fly better though, dunno really....

Just know that visa officers read these Nairaland threads

They will be on the look out for a man who is from Qatar but will tell them that he's from Nigeria

Tell them the truth, they don't care if you have money or not, they will give you a visa
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by mamateniola1: 1:35pm On Feb 12, 2017
@seyewest & @omobendel, thanks. The interview is in Lagos so it's 21st February. That's still okay.

@lordchosen, but the VO already answered your question in the other thread na. No harm in asking again o. However, no one here can tell you what to answer or say at your own interview. Tell the VO the real reason(s) for applying in Nigeria. If it is because your wife lives in Nigeria as you have written, say it. The TRUTH!

@seunegbegbe (your moniker tho. Lolll) I Taya ohh. To say VO has answered his question earlier. Bros, VO reads this thread!

All my siblings had their kids here in Nigeria except the USA citizen. They have all travelled with their own family . As a matter of fact one of them just got back from a 5days trips . My cousin stayed with her in 2010 for child birth. .

Please am unable to add my kids to my profile . The page keep showing "Operation with inactive user". Sent a mail to their support centre already. Anybody with a quick solution.

Thanks @ OmoBendel.
