My hair is coming out tangled and spiky, can't afford to show the miserable renders.......crying.

Am i a fashion hair victim?

I don't know if you already found the answer, but basically, I used more than one emitter. Also, the vertex or point count per strand makes the hair much easier to handle!

Hello guys, towards the end of last year, I posted here that I was going to start learning Blender as I needed it for my school project. Unfortunately I had to let it go for a number of reasons. I'm more than happy that I can finally devote some time to 3D art now.

Attached here, is my second attempt at character modeling, the first was last year when I was modeling for my project. To cut the long story short, it was hideous to say the least.

I have always been fascinated with character modeling, so I'm gonna be spending the next months studying it in detail.

For the veterans here, please critique & advice. I mostly just clicked my way through the internal renderer, I have no idea how the Cycles render works. So I'm totally open to all the advice you got for me, from the technicalities to the art itself.

Thanks! I do, but not really well. I've been using blender on and off for a few years. Sadly, mostly off.

lol... Just trying to have a feel of all (or some rather) the things that blender can do, before circling back to characters...

You people posting these stuffs, please help we newbies with references to where we can learn how to do all these stuffs.. Biko, Please...

wow so many designs since the last time i came here. its been over 7-8 mnths now. great renders guys.. i started from here and due the critics and comments i was able to improve.. for the new blender heads keep up the good work. that's just my advice. and here is my latest render.. enjoy!!!
