HNM to you all and I really appreciate each and everyone response towards my visa issue I posted earlier. I was able to arrange an impromptu trip as advised but I was stopped at Lagos airport from boarding that I need to contact the embassy. I called abuja embassy to notify them and was told to send an email. I sent a mail and they responded that I should schedule an appointment to visit the embassy so that the issue can be looked into into. So I visited as advised and they requested all d medical bills I paid when I had my baby in 2015. I presented all with detailed explanation & the guy stamped cancelled on my visa page that I no longer have a valid visa to travel. I tried to know the actual reason for cancellation and he said my DH applied and told them I paid $3k for the hospital bill and that the hospital charges me $20k, I disputed that and showed him the agreed itemized bill I signed with the hospital,my corresponding bill payment receipt, zero balance statement, letter of non indebtedness and obstetrics package price list the hospital sent to me via mail. He asked me to reapply. I reapply for a new visa in Lagos and it was approved without requesting to see any documents. I got a call from Lagos consulate 2 days after my interview to scan and send all the payment receipts to them and I responded immediately and I got a mail notification few hours later that my documents have been collected at the consulate. Interview was feb 22, approved and I picked it up Feb 27, flew delta on 28th and Poe was Atlanta where just 3 questions was as asked:
Why are you here?
How much do you have on you?
What do you do for a living?
After responding to all that, was sent in to go and declare my cash and was stamped in for 6 months with no further question. I guess misunderstanding in the bill was the major issue in my case. All in all, truthfulness and doing the right thing when one is opportuned matter most. I'm glad I didn't abuse the privilege given to me. Join me and thank God for a successful end story. It's not 2 weeks. Most airlines accept from 7 days old. I travelled with mine at 1 week +. Call your airline and find out their own policy. It's not all questions that people know here so u don't sit and be waiting for 2 weeks if u need to leave.
Also most pediatricians advice 7 days too.

Please mamas and papas let's not forget to come back and write about are experiences, bills etc. haven't seen any of that lately. Especially people birthing in unpopular areas. Eg @olaboss. There was also one Florida bound mom too some pages back.

This is what has kept this thread going and if we stop giving back then there's no point telling newbies to 'go and read', what will they be reading?

So please please and please, no experience is trivial. @boluwagin I suggest you go to the records office and inquire there about how to correct the mistake or you call the vital records office. Please do share your experience and outcome when you have sorted it out. Gracias
i was about saying that too.

Wow. What an ordeal.
Truth pays, so that you can sleep easily knowing you have nothing to fear.
1st time CBP officials wanted to show themselves in Atlanta to me. I just kept my cool and smiled inwardly because I knew that whenever they were done with their drama, they would let me go, cos they had no basis what so ever for the unnecessary attention other than the fact that I took a flight to Washington when my final destination was Oklahoma. They didn't understand that i got a cheaper flight by booking Washington thru Atlanta and then local flight to Oklahoma. They thought i had something to hide.
Congrats jare.

Option 2 is your best bet. Another thing else is quite risky.

MsPapi:
Thank you everyone.

So in summary these are the options I will consider.

1) Go for vacation with my son this March and then travel alone in June to give birth. (I am really considering this).

2) Have my baby here and go for vacation later. (This means I will have to get a visa for the baby too.)

But then if I go alone now, is it possible I am asked why I did not come with my son since we applied for the visa together?

Thanks for the sugggestions so far.

is it a new policy?cos my wife used port health certificate last time she travelled with emirate.
I know of 2 or 3 pple here who got their medical certificate frm port health. To be on the safe side go to port health and find out and if they do issue for emirate, collect it, then download the Medit form on emirate website for your doctor to fill and sign together with your fit to fly letter from your doctor. From their policy one is meant to submit to their office for clearance 48 hours before your flight date but someone here took the Medit form together with her fit to fly letter to the airport on the flight date and they collected it. Make copies of the certificates and fit to fly letter for yourself incase they keep the originals.

Please use the visa for its purpose "Vacation". After all, that was what you said at the interview. Afterwards you can travel and give birth. There's no need saying "Favour will find me", when you "KNOW" you're about to do something wrong. Save yourself the stress.
MsPapi:
Thank you @twoods @justwise @mimimum @austine2020 .

But what are my chances if I go along with cash and all possible evidence? I am just looking for a way out to enable me have my baby there. I can't travel now and return again in june. If I go earlier than I should and I am allowed in based on a vacation only, can I just request for an extension with a doctors report or something? Or if my passport is stamped with 6 months validity, can I just stay since I will have enough time and then i can show all my receipts when leaving?

OMG, I have erred and I really regret this.

It is well sha. Favour will find me.

Lol it's better to yab you now rather than run into visa problems later. As others have said, do a vacation now... come back, then go for birthing in June. If any concern, it will be that you did not mention your pregnancy at the interview but they might be willing to overlook it. All the best and safe delivery.

Why book with travel agents like wakanow, when you can book direct with the airline and save like 11k
Also when you want to change your flights, these agents can't help you and end up messing up your ticket. Just go book direct with the airline.

Madam use your visa for vacation and have your baby in Nigeria.

You were given the opportunity to state whether you are pregnant during the interview and you blew it. Deportation at the Poe is possible and renewing that visa will be a tough call

@ Justwise please advise...
Hello everyone, please I need advice... I got my visa in September 2016 for family vacation in Dec but cld not travel till Feb 2017. I'm back now from the vacation and plan to travel for child birth in April, hope that will not raise any questions at the POE if I say I'm back for childbirth since I just came back from vacation in Feb. I just wanted to use the visa for what I was given first which is vacation so as to avoid any problems at future renewals. Has anyone been in a similar situation please

Did you indicate child birth during the interview since you were pregnant then?
