Dear Friends... please I would need your support and clarification about upload of documents. I would be grateful if guided on which section to upload the following documents during the online application:

1. Upfront medical slip

2. Police character report

3. Certificates: University, transcripts

4. Previous passports showing travel records

5. SOP

Also if I have multiple financial documents eg bank statement , land documents, payslips, how do I have multiple pdf documents uploaded in a single section. I do appreciate your help as I see that people on this platform attach so many documents but will be happy to know the location in the upload section this can be attached. Your advise will be highly appreciated.

When I did mine last year Oct, visa fees was 34500 and biometrics was 19550 and sms service was 450. I am not too sure it's still the same or it has been updated.

You have very experience in Journalism, my advice ! seek an admission in a program that aligns with your undergrad course.

However, if you'd ask me, your sop can actually address the discrepancies ! Political science and journalism can be interwoven and connected in some area. You just have to fish out those areas and dwell on them.

Thanks bro I will do just that. Can I pm u?

[quote from Austinpee4

Otherwise, the burden to convience a VO will be greater and most likely, such application will be questioned for unclear purpose of visit and may result in a refusal if these are not taken into consideration.

Thanks very much dear for the advice

Of course, Let me see your sop !

Buh, just like @austinpee4, michv and others suggested, i think you've got 50/50 chance of trv approval with your proposed program. It is not impossible buh the chances are a bit slimmer compared to when you're going for a post-graduate studies in Political science which is where you have substantial activities. I understand that there are very few courses available in pgd/pgc which is closely knitted to political science and probably why you opted for journalism. If however, you insist on going for graduate cert in journalism, you have to work hand in hand with your employer. They must attest to the necessity of you pursuing a grad cert in journalism; your contribution to your employer upon conclusion of your program and probably as a requirement for your continued employment with your employer or for career advancement.

Take your time, do not rush the decision. You can pm me, we can weigh your options together.

Best wishes !

There is no time frame for this. Keep tracking your passport and when it's ready for pick up, VFS will notify you. Nobody here can tell you the exact timing.

The situation is very dicey, we almost have the same profile but its just opposite of yours.
I have two years Diploma in mass communication, having been working with a media outfit for over 2years, I decided to go for UG program in political science, wrote a very detailed SOP. Bro I was denied two consecutive time based on purpose of visit I won't advise you to change your course of study, why not apply for journalism it will make your TRV more easier.

Writing sops is all about strategising....Trv approval is not always about program consistency, it is always about convincing a VO to see you as a bonafide prospective student. It's about impressing the visa officer and to make the visa officer see the rationale behind your decision. There are instances where there will be the almighty program consistency and yet we go still hear "purpose of visit"

For instance, how can you claim to be a journalist and not have a solid foundation in governance, current affairs, and ultimately understand the principles of democracy. As a journalist, you need to be versatile and diverse. Political science will give you that foundation.

This trv thingy no be rocket science, it all depends on the strategy employed.
Hmm, I love this write-up but those VOs are upredictable they can be crazy atimes especially those Accra people, dem get blood for eyes. I can relate.

Wow!! This is massive!!! I just stumbled on this thread through a google search, never knew such thread like this exists on nairaland. My humble regards to everyone in the house. Please house, i am in the process of completing my application to NBCC to study Information Technology: Business Analysis (PGD) through the online route. Now my questions:
(1) Can i submit my application first and later send the transcript (soft copy) to them even when it's stated transcript first before submission of application, any implications cause my university is slowing things down.
(2) Anybody with a trick to help me get the hard copy of my transcript because my university does not give out student copy, and will i need it in TRV application process?
(2) Will it be late if i start my TRV application process in May for September intake?
(3) How do i go about the experience thing cause i dont have experience in that field but i meet all other requirements.
Please guys your quick response is awaited!!! Thanks.
