Ok. I read your first post below and didnt know its a suggestion esp the bolded.

[quote: It amazes me how people still let others dictate to them how much rate and things. Its 2017 people. We already have dollar master cards being issued by our banks. Economy might be bad, but our banking system aint that bad. I just signed up with SkyeBank dollar card with $3000 monthly limit unlike my GT naira card $100/month limit.

It just baffles me reading on here when people need dollar or naira, i never knew nairaland is now some bureau de change giving rooms for potential scammers and scammees. Go and open a domiciliary/dollarcard account and you would make any payment from here rather than lobbying on Nairaland. Goshhh. angry

I never said anyone is doing it wrong. I was only suggesting an idea based on my own opinion, but I have learnt we all can't have similar opinions and I apologize if you take it the wrong way. Have a great day sir! smiley

And I read subsequent posts where you explained better. Yea, some will rather go to the mallam they can see than an online deal. Either way, there are pros and cons. Enjoy your day. smiley

Gtb bank disable online transaction for some particular site . e.g PayPal,skrill, neteller, okay and the rest. The best you can use is Accessbank Visa card which is currently working with PayPal, but restricted to $100 per month. So get two Accessbank card and send your funds to someone in the USA or use moneygram it's a bit cheaper now.

Not all schools need SAT for admission only if you want to be considered for scholarships... but If you didn't do SAT you must have done TOEFL or written essays or anything??or you may not even be asked about it but make sure you're prepared..for that ..thou I know few schools that accepts waec/neco c4 and above in English as am alternative for proof of English as second language ..

Hi guys. Greetings to you all. I have been a silent follower of this thread for a while now. I honestly appreciate all your contributions in helping us find our way.
Now, last year, I got admission to study for my MBA, but was denied visa at the embassy. That was around June 2016. For some reason, I couldn't re-apply for my Visa, and I chose to defer the admission till 2017 fall.
I am ready again to pursue this course, and take my chances. I want to be sure if I am going to pay for a new sevis fee.
Thank you so much.

Also, considering recent happenings in America vis-a-viz travel ban and immigration orders, is there any hope that one can actually get the F1 Visa and be allowed to go study there?
Thank you so much for your kind responses.

Hi all, I paid an application fee of $30 in form of money order on February 6 through a member of this forum who is in the United States. Unfortunately, the school has not received the money order up till now, though to the best of my knowledge the person actually made the purchase because He sent me a picture of the money order. We are currently trying to resolve the issue with USPS.

The application deadline was March 1, although I have been in contact with the programme coordinator and was informed that my application would still be considered if the payment is made promptly. The problem is the school only accepts money order or check. Please I need urgent help with this payment. I really like the school, the funding is generous and I believe I have a very good chance of being admitted. Thanks all.

That's another confirmation! In this case, you wouldn't need any standardized tests and can easily defend yourself.

My bad, I actually would like to do another money order.
I think the previous one was sent through regular mail, and I don't think it was tracked.

I tire for the school ooo. It is actually the Health Science School of LSU at New orleans.

am not in any place to advice you Sir but from personal experience I'll say consider other schools because schools like this end up given student tough time and more complications if even application fee needs to be paid through a different source only other than online then that means there might not be alternatives for you to do anything should incase something arises in the future..get schools that makes things for swift and easy for international students.. just saying. besides its not their fault money oder is being delayed.

Who's your contact in the school who told you the money order hasn't come in? You might tell them to suggest another payment method. You might be reimbursed if the order doesn't come through, but you might pay extra processing charges. Don't lose hope. Some schools aren't really ready to switch on things with IT and all.

If not, you can try check or let me know.

What school? Scholarship without the SAT? Worry about the source of funding, not the interview, for now.

https://www.ice.gov/sevis/i901/faq
Do not pay the SEVIS I-901 fee, if you already paid the SEVIS I-901 fee and are: Reapplying for a visa within 12 months of the date of your initial SEVIS I-901 fee payment.

So you need to ensure that when you reapply for your visa it is within 12 months

I called the Grad school to ask about the status of my application and was informed that the application fee has not been received. I have calling to get updates since then.

The money order should be reimbursed, but I can't really wait for the process to run it due course. Application decision is due by March ending

I still need someone in US to make the payment in form of check, hence my post.

No, You are not out of place to advice me. I did consider the ease of application when choosing schools. The application is pretty straightforward forward and doesn't require stressful process such as WES evaluation or official transcripts.

I have actually passed the stage where I can just change schools because I have sent all other application materials including GRE scores and I have paid the application fee once. I would rather pay twice instead of losing all the aforementioned resources and time spent on the application. In addition, the application for most good school has closed. Plus I am guaranteed funding if admitted to the school.

Like I said, I won't argue or join issues with you and we all have different opinion. Well, as for the bolded; I'll rather pay 368k and collect my dollars than send 352k to someone I don't know and HEY!!! I have never for once discredit the good side of it so you don't need to make me sound bad to others. I was only trying to raise a point BASED on my opinion that people should get dollar card not just for application fee payment, but also useful when they eventually travel abroad. We all have different principles and different pattern of operations and Please let this issue die down. I'm sorry if you take it in another way, but I still stick to my point and please respect my opinion as I have yours.

Enjoy the rest of your day sir! smiley

This is why people exchange with those trusted members and so far, we havent heard of any foul play. Initially I don't support it but since everyone has been sincere with one another, I don't have problem with that.
