Cheating is bad and even dangerous these days of STDs!!

However a woman's cheating is more dangerous because of paternity fraud ( which is extremely painful, more painful than what a woman can feel because her man chested). Many men have been known to commit even murder if they suspect their woman cheated AND made them Father a child that isn't theirs! This may explain the apparent 'double standards' applied when women cheat!

The rejection of that supposed double standard and the idea that if he cheats, so can I is what is troubling the marriage institution today. The men are still expected to propose and the offspring still generally bear the man's name. So many guys have settled for baby mamas so they do not have to marry a girl who will cheat on them in revenge! The baby mama arrangement makes it more convenient for them to ask for a DNA test if the lady claims pregnancy for the guy in question!

So I think op has a realistic point, if u are not submissive enough to remain faithful and loving to a guy even when he cheats, make your own money and stay out of marriage!! The inequities are naturally fixed!

That being said, it is observable that at least some of our mothers who accepted the inequities and stooped to conquer eventually derived the benefit of the awesome power a woman can get when her husband trusts and respects her more than he trusts himself!! cool

It is all down to a woman's freedom to choose!

Let me tell you a short story. The kids were already grown ups. The last child of the family was a boarder in FGGC Kabba, Kogi State. I finished my part 3 examination, went home for break. My mom traveled for a week to another state. There is however a small boy in Primary 5 then living with my parents. When I got home, that night he told me something striking. "Bro Dayo, two days ago, I thought Sister Tobi came home in the night. She was in the room with dad when I came back from church in the evening. It was when dad was seeing her off that I looked closely and I saw that she wasn't sister Tobi." The lad was just asking about my siblings and when they would all come home which led to him innocently saying the statement above. Sister Tobi (Pseudonym) is the first child of the family. I knew what was up. I asked more questions which confirmed my suspicions. I went and searched dad's room, I saw protectives. I have never thought he was a cheat. I swear but then, I already came of age and I was like... Man, na you o. It hurts me but I won't be the one to break my family. Sister, the unimaginable happen. You don't follow dad to everywhere he goes. Don't mind most things they say during family devotion. It is easier to be an hypocrite than a real being. Life is not just perfect, if it was, the OP won't put that post up there. I know what guys do and how their girls think they are faithful cos I'm a guy myself. It only takes one thing... And that is if the guy is one spirikoko (I mean truly, really born of God to the call) Forget discipline, it doesn't hold one down for life. Even the spiritual guys' dicke rises when they see a massive assed babe not minding that they are wedded or have a fiancée to talk less of mere girlfriend. The OP made great points which may sound like she is saying trash but I bet with you that this is life in relationship's 99.9% of the ones that exist. Peace!
