Chanbaby:
Pls I am hearing the fastest u can get a Nigeria visa for baby is 2weeks pls any one with contrary opinion should pls say. Thank u

@chanbaby, please if you have less time to use in US don't use eddy. I have learnt my lesson from him.
It happens that we sent him my daughter passport and we applied for 24hrs rush because our flight was the other week which we paid $385 but do you know the funniest thing? I had to reschedule my flight and hubby had to leave me to resume work because the passport didn't get to us until 10 working days.
InfAct, I cried and begged him to pick his call but he didn't and also sent numerous messages to him but he replied none.
Thank God for Tanko that interfere in the matter. He was the one that called him for me.
So my dear, if you are in LA I learnt some people do for nigeria visa. I can help you find out @chanbaby.

Eddy is not a man of his word and he will not even follow up on you. Immediately he received the money, he won't even mind you again.
I thank God that I have collected my DD passport at last and I didn't rebook flight for the third time.

Go online fill the forms And print
Then go to the passport office in your state with the following:-
1) Baby passport photo
2) Birthday certificate
3) Consent letter from father
4) Father's current and valid passport bio data page copy
If father doesn't have no 4
Then add local government identification of baby and dad (I don't know which will be used but one is needed)
Any other form of Identification for father.
Also go with mother's identification too.

Thanks. I was actually asking about the process for applying from Nigeria for minors who came in with their blue passport.

Please I'm traveling through Dallas some time next week. Do I need to carry a leave letter from my company with me to show at my POE that I am on vacation/ childbirth? Has anyone been asked for this at POE?

All they will be interested in is proof that you can pay all your health bills.
Along with contact details of your doctor / birth clinic.

You might not be asked for anything, but you should have these documents available in your hand luggage.

Ah Chibertha, you want me to fill the form myself for this naija? Na after 5years dem go call my baby for biometrics. I tried it in 2008 when the Epassport was introduced, after 4 months of filling the form and paying online myself, na beg and and series of bribes i take do biometrics for Ikoyi. I would't advise anyone to go that route again. It just heartrending to see and accept how things work in our country.

I had the same experience with him in 2015. Thought my case was just 1 out of a thousand. Didn't know that's his way. The most annoying part was him not amswering my series of calls nor responding to text messages.

Yes I advice you do (it makes the process one step faster) but don't pay online if you like.go there with the money.
I usually fill out forms and pay the official then go to the office with the extra which we know is file carrying" with this procedure you will do biometrics before noon.
I promise you if you get there very early biometrics will be next morning this in Port Harcourt though .
This from experience.

I haven't used the hospital, I'm only planning to by July, However here is the info I gathered so far

vaginal delivery is $2000.00 which includes all office visits, all routine lab work done in the office, all ultrasounds done in the office, the delivery and the postpartum visits after delivery.

If it is a c-section it will be $2200.00.

Payment is expected to be paid in full by the 34th week of pregnancy therefore if you are 34 or more weeks payment in full will be expected at your first visit.

Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by papi7: 12:38pm On Mar 12, 2017
a fine advice, @Shawbabe. Ma''am fill in your reservation address and tell the CBP you don't know anyone in US if the question comes up. After you go pass CPB then you can head to anywhere you want.

Shawbabe:

I don't think it really matters which one you put. I would put the hotel reservation address if it was me though. Reason being that your friend's hands might not be all that "clean". Next thing they start asking how you know him/her.
The way I see it is, until I pass immigration.....I no know anybody except my immediate fam. Shikena lol

What effrontery! This man must think he is in naija o,where he can get away with anything. I guess someone has not sued him yet.

I will advice you still go along with the letter from your place of work, this further strengthens your burden of proof ( to show that you have a job to return to) . I know of someone that his boss was even called on phone to confirm that he had a job (this happened to a man)

I do not agree, that's not entirely true. I may not contest not being granted entry but i definitely can ask to be certified fit to fly as a pregnant woman. That is MY opinion. There was a related case years back, of course no doctor would dare!

Yes you can, but will mostly be ignored. If you did not feel fit to fly then why did you make the attempt to fly to the US in the first place? If no doctor would dare, then you just admitted that the "fit to fly" certification with which you boarded the flight to the US was a fraud. We cannot simply continue to hold other nations to ransom over our own selfish needs.

What do the number of blacks in an area have to do with procedures at the POE?

A more general question based on some of the answers i've noticed lately - what does it mean to have a "safe" POE? I thought all POEs were safe, from a security standpoint?

Please, I was told that we can do fit to fly test at the airport here in Lagos. My question is that are they always there 24/7. Because my sister is traveling on Monday 9am,and I advised she gets there like 6am,but will the nurses or doctors that will do the fit to fly thing be there as early as 6am on a Monday morning....?

I was under the impression that the letter should come from your doctor. Why would a doctor be at an airport to do "fit to fly" tests on a woman whose medical history he is unaware of?

Hello house, seems i have a unique challenge i think. Applied for US passport 27th of Feb and was told to fill in zeros for the SSN. I just received a mail now from the passport office, telling me to send the SSN or sign an attestation to that effect.

Has anyone encountered this? How do I go about it cos my travel date is dangerously here ooo. Thanks for suggestions in advance grin

Ok I'm a new member and I have been following this thread. My case goes like this
Myself, dad and younger sister attended US interview on the 8th of March 2017, and we were all granted Visa.

Actually I am 31weeks gone when we went for the interview and I went with my dad and younger sister, and my mum has a valid visa. But my husband didn't apply.

I know if I use the visa to birth, it might create problems for me in the future as my DS160 form states that I am a student, so have zeroed my mind for using it to birth.

I need advice on how I can effectively use my visa without creating any suspicion that will lead to refusal or ban. I've decided that I should apply with my baby after his one year. Then I'm thinking won't the VO start calculating and say I was pregnant while I applied and refuse me or should I travel first b4 I reapply with my baby?

Please urgent and useful reply
