My post had no insult. A little bit of a lecture that's all. Address your concern to the other guy who I will no longer engage going forward anyway. Once is enough.

Tx Tritri. Just wondering when technical analysis I have been talking about then becomes gambling mentality/madness he/she talking about. That's quite unfortunate. Major problem with many of us is intolerance of other people's opinion.

Please note that I read your post with keen interest. The more of Fxuser, BullBearMkt analysis I get, the better.

Trust me, I take my investment decisions independently.

I would rather buy FBNH and watch it add 50kobo than buy Zenith even if it will add 2naira.

Buy Elephant. You better watch your money grow in Zenith

Your posts are educating, and your pointers of great value here. Kindly understand that they are much appreciated. At least, I've benefited from your reply to my request (which I once posted here and never got a mention, talk less of an answer).

Sir/Ma, you are absolutely qualify for dividend, but why not wait for their Q1 2017 result before deciding whether to sell or not?

What is your investment strategy? Is it just looking for dividend? @Godisfaithful response is good; you can also get more with the positive sentiment developing in the market...

Wrong! The stock's price is ex-div. Anyone buying yesterday or today... will NOT get the dividend. Be careful with your posts.

ZENITH BANK: 13.76 (CLOSE TODAY) + 1.77 (DIVIDEND) = 15.53

You have quoted him out of context and I hope mistakenly so.
He began by stating "for those who bought before closure and still holding".
This is why he added the dividend of N1.77kobo to the current price.
He is correct in his post.

Let's be careful with our responses to avoid the avoidable.

You clearly invest with a gambling mentality. I am not saying you cannot make money. I am appealing that you do not spread this hapahazard logic as sacrosanct. There has to be a method to the madness even if the madness does not always win the MAD award.

The ways of a trader, especially a day-trader, are crazy to a value investor. Each should never make an attempt on deciphering the logic behind the other's way. We have been here before. Most times, the assault is even from traders on value investors.

Zenith Bank did not make any capital appreciation for those that bought at any point between earnings release and mark down. Anyone that took the dividend is at 0% PRIOR to today's movement because you gained about 12% on dividend yield and lost pretty much the same thing on mark down yesterday.

I never described my investment pattern. Secondly, as long as you can stay away from rough language like rubbish, illiterate etc intellectual discussions are healthy for those sincerely interested. The other guy did not do that. I have no intention of being a "go to guy" on this board. I am not here to invade his space or anyone else's. Shalom

Secondly closure of what? Market? as I gleamed from his post and his response implies he was thinking along those lines. If not, then, my response is not applicable.

Technically, UBA bullishness is fading. The resistance is at 5.10 and has been struggling for the last couple of days to rise above this. My take:

-If you are heavily loaded on the stock, reduce your exposure
-Watch if the resistance could be broken with high volume; this might confirm more interest in the stock
-If price breaks down below 4.95, I will be a seller; except I want to hold the stock forever
-If you've not bought the stock, siddon they look how bulls-and-bears are slugging it out until we have a winner

...Now the WINNER IS.........MR BULL grin grin grin grin

-Interested to join the trade?
-Wait for price to pullback to a value zone... simple (but watch out for -ve divergence)

Always Remember...

BullBearMkt:
GOOD TRADING IDEAS TO MAKE MONEY ON NSE

1. Stocks with new 52 week lows (as reported by Intendy & fxuser)
-Plot stock(s) on your chart
-If stock(s) indicate +ve divergence on RSI or MACD Histogram (Good Buying candidate)
-Wait until MACD Line crosses MACD-Signal to buy
-Apply money management that works for you

2. Stocks with new 52 week highs (as reported by Intendy & fxuser)
-Plot stock(s) on your chart
-Wait for price to pullback to a "value zone" (Good Buying candidate)
-Apply money management that works for you
-Value Zone varies: (20EMA/50EMA etc)
