The iPhone is more efficient because of the language used to write apps. Android apps are mostly written in Java which has a garbage collector, while the iPhone doesn't allow Objective C to use a garbage collector.

Most top end android phones, use the same processor or a similar processor to the iPhone.

I don't agree with the last sentence. Yes, high end flagship devices are competitive but the A9 processor is still up there with the latest Exynos and Snapdragon processors. The A10 blows everything out there.

My focus is on the evolution of smartphones. What they were, what they are now with Camera, gyrometers, accelerometers.......etc, and what the future holds for them. In the future i believe more tech and software will be added that would require more Ram.

There are already 6gb ram smartphones in the market for your information. Maybe not totally necessary for todays general use, but highly feasible for 2020 at a minimum.

What's my point.? The current RISC devices such as Android and ios might not be the future as a result of the of architecture restrictions. Having 8gb ram or more on risc devices will be useless..... This is what is happening in tablet sector.full Windows tablets is the only tablet sector growing, while Android and ipad tablets are plummeting.
