One thing I fail to understand about the whole biafran- Nigerian schism is simple :

Why not call a referendum and decide to split ways rather than engage in protests that may lead another useless wastage of lives

Someone has to be popular...if they knew what they wanted why didnt they start at protesting at the HOA and the UK embassy?
But when he was asking people to kill pastor kumuyi and others what did these "faithful" women do about it?

Hoisting a Biafran flag in Abuja is an offence by law which immediately demands counter measures.

The Nigerian Army should have shot directly at protesters.

Our incompatibility is obvious, Its surprising that most Nigerians after seeing the failed system, still decide to go ahead and support the one Nigerian theory, the SS are tired, the igbos are tired, truth be told only those in power are benefiting from the one Nigeria idea, we all know this and we keep quiet because they are our tribes men

If you don't dare to try you will no experience what failure or success is, let the igbos go, let them fail or succeed, Nigeria will still be one without them, at least the yorubas have the hausas to keep them company
even though I hate this govt to bone marrow, I think you are biased. you said ss n se are tired because they did not benefit from the current govt. I love gej and voted him but saddened my heart that he lost even though my tribe did not benefit from his administration. my question to you now is why did yorubas not tired because they didn't enjoy from Jonathan administration despite that all the states in west voted for him before he lost in the last election. why yorubas not crying of victimization and marginalization. cos I vividly remembered that ss n se got the guicy position during his administration and yorubas never complained.

now let's leave the talk of tribalism or nepotism aside am sensing you really don't hate the Igbos, but how can a tribe in a recognized and sovereign nation like Nigeria(and not in the state of war or total crisis) organise a referendum and it will be accepted by the rest of the world even if an international organization legitimise it.what that guy is telling you is right as its only the FG that can organise the referendum not the south easterners
Actually, due to international laws, every tribe has the right to self-determination and can decide whether to remain in a country or want out. If you don't believe me, check Crimea and South Sudan.

My own main suspicion about this is that why didn't Igbo(s) decide to secede when they still had a sympathetic government in power

The answer to your question is simple. They are greedy, proud and arrogant. The inbred inferiority complex that was inflicted on their fore fathers during the war still flows in their blood. They feel they are the victims and everyone else is to blame for their plight. Bunch of pathetic loser whose bloodstream flows with hate and bile. Like I said earlier , the hate you spurn out to other tribe especially the Yorubas shall continue to hunt them till they all run mad.

When we were crying was when the British was still colonising Nigeria, so we fought for our freedom with our hands and tears. So there is no reason for us to cry now because even if Nigeria is not how it's suppose to be, at least we have freedom to be whatever we want to be, whether good or bad, it's our choice to make and not the British. U biafrans are the ones that suppose to be crying bitterly now. Cry till Russia and Israel come and save u all

Look at you and your freedom. A white man gave you a country and name it after a river.

A woman who couldn't hold her emotions -busted into tears during a prayer session organized by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for their leader Nnamdi Kanu who is in prison over charges of treason and felony. This happened in front of the federal high court in Abuja. See photos below;

Are you really thinking straight, there is nothing like Biafra in the federal republic of Nigeria.Anyone that desire a country should leave to find one just as the Israelites searched and found their country, but here in Nigeria,Biafra died with ojukwu painfully.
When the terrorist called Nnamdi is hanged,Biafra will be cremated, period.

Biafra has no defined territory, has no port, and continues to maintain the internal hatred between Anambra and IMO, btw Abia and Ebony. News and Umuahia, Ndoki and Ngwa. They will kill themselves and beg to return to Nigeria.

It is not in deir power 2 call a referendum, but dat of d govt. Nigeria will never be better or great unless we all decide 2 be part of dis con3
D 1st step is 2 hold a referendum across all geo political zones askin if dey Wana be part of nigeria project. If we all agree den we forge 4wrd 2 greatness, if not we quietly go our separate ways. Dats d only solutn, cos Ders no more patriotism in dis country. Mind u once dis ipob tin escalates 2 a conflict dey will most likely get intl backin just like Palestine, Syrian rebel & co. Self-determinatn is reignin now globally.

If you recognize pieces of clothing materials sewed together and carried by people as BIAFRAN FLAG, then there's a country called BIAFRA.
