and the wight/white Walker are not only afraid of fire they are also afraid of water.

smashing through the wall is not the only way of getting into westeros. from the north

Lol. It's not a theory then. Just a wish you want to be true. Lol. There's evidence that suggestsJagen Hagar is currently in Old town. He was the nameless guy that killed piggy (or whatever his name) one of the acolytes that was looking for money to bed a certain LovePeddler.

You still haven't said anything that suggests the others are afraid of water. I know there's a well/cave that gives passage through the wall. But it's fortified with spells and magic and only a man of the Night's watch can pass. Even Cold Hands (Benjen Stark) couldn't pass.

Ok, I've got my own theory. This is it; Maester Luwin knew more about magic than he let Bran believe or he had tried and failed at magic even after forging a link of it at the citadel. See, he strongly denied the existence of wargs, others and children of the forest.
I believe as we read more from Bran's POV, we'll see from the tree Luwin's ignorance or denial.

Erm, lets see. Maybe it's because the book doesnt say if old age is required to make one an archmaester. Perhaps it could be duration of tenure. I dont kmow if Maester Aemon served that long... counting from the days the Mad king took the Iron throne.
Also just like the men of the Nights watch, a man who earns his chain is stripped of his family name and from that time on is known only by his title and first name so Aemon's blood

what is preventing the white Walker from just going around the wall ?
I remember one side of the wall ends at the oceans they could just go there and sail around and voila them Don enter westeros.


I have just seen the latest episode of the TV series.
who ever came up with this r + L=j stuff deserve some kind of award.
I never supported it cause I liked the idea that ned stark isn't just some honor craze lord but that appears to be true.
maybe G. R. R. M will change the reveal for reader.

Aemon served in the Citadel since he was a boy. And only joined the watch when Egg became king. Archmaester Walgrave is pretty old as well.

Yes, these guys are all bad guys. However, from only one chapter released from TWoW, I could get the feeling that they all are learners when compared to Euron. He is a paedophile, kinslayer (killed three of his brothers), practices incest, murders his pregnant concubine, sacrifices priests of all religions, and finally wants to become a god! Ramsey Bolton seems like a saint next to him.

You obviously haven't read eurons excerpts in the coming book! There are different levels of sadism in ASOIAF/GOT, eurons level requires a different word more horrible than sadism to describe it
