QuantumMove01:I spoke with a Prof, He agreed to supervise my PhD programm and he asked applied for the deans scholarship award for me and he said I should inofrm him once i hear anything from them . I have not heared anything, So i was suprised to see your post that you have been issued yours was declined. Does it means they are making the consideration based on department or what? I drafted a proposal which my supervisor accepted but he said that the dean scholarship award is my only hope. I will appreciate if anyone could shed more light on this. |

obaxlove:If you work there, I don't think you need to bother yourself, all you need to affirm that is your payslip and SOA showing your salary, with the confirmation of your bank details alone by the embassy, a VO can actually infer that you work there and the company exist. |

Ejaloni123:when you click on the file on your application page, it opens in a new tab but without displaying the content of the documents. then you click on download and save on your computer. go to the place you saved it on your computer, right click on the document and select ''open with''. then you select your Adobe reader. it should work. I did mine just last week. |

My Case is Different (Final Part) Well, in all these disappointments my case was still different as I took time to engage God and believe solely on him for a testimony. The same research proposal sent to the Female Professor at the University of New Brunswick was sent to another Prof at Waterloo who was even a Canada Research Chair and she also picked interest in my proposal. In fact her comment was that the topic was very interesting and that I should just make sure I meet the requirement set by the school, also asking me to send in my transcripts for review in the timebeing……. (Note: This explicitly tells that she’s not only interested in my proposal but also willing to supervise me). Walahi! |

@ Surgee, we should understand that grace of God comes with being proactive & informed. Faith without knowledge is a pipe-dream. So many Christians are not having opportunities not because God doesn't like them but because of absence of hard-work, information and the ability to think ahead. They still pray everyday and nothing happens. Nairaland helps to bridge that gap. You should emphasize more on that not on scriptures, this is a neutral thread not religous Part of communication etiquettes demands you understand your audience. We have Christians, Muslims, atheist etc here. When evangelizing & testimony sharing, the motive is to win souls and build our faith in God. In Nairaland travel section, the purpose is information sharing. If you have ideas on writing superb research proposals; you share, you have a unique way of writing that brings opportunities; you share. You have ideas on getting internships that can help, you share. That way everyone becomes more knowledgeable, more enlightened, more useful to themselves and overall become better for the purpose of "TRAVELLING TO CANADA AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT" P.S I am Christian ![]() Congrats. Also note you don't have to agree with me, or even regard my message, you can simply ignore and do your things the way you like. ![]() Cheers. |

michV:MichV, u no serious honestly! Lol |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Nobody: 12:56pm On Mar 31, 2017 |
Eraytee:Yeah! True it is God, but for the purpose of the thread, more emphasis is placed on the "how" When one gets a TRV we enjoy the testimony as a family but the focus is sharing the documents. It is when the person shares the documents that others can model theirs in that direction. Knowledge has been transfered in that process. Emphasising on grace does not stimulate intellectual development. |

Genius000:I am a Christian and a catholic for that matter.@genuis00 just about when I wanted typing your post came in. I blessed the name of God in his life as proclaimed and big congratulations to him but there is one thing I believe about principles of existence and nature which my father told me. He said son, everyone in life has his/her appointed time. if we ever knew our appointed times, we would relax and wait for that due date/year to take action but as God is omniscience, he kept us in suspense, hence our struggle till when the appointed time comes. I may be struggling and killing myself that I want to go to Canada this year. if the designed year is in the year 2019,even if I applied to all schools in Canada, I will still get refused till that 2019 and things will be happening miraculously. some neither prayed nor fasted and they got their visas once at first try while flexing and chilling even fornicating sef. I believe also failure builds up more efforts and alternatives to success. If we categorized it on prayers/scriptures, that means God is partial to so many on this thread who even went to vigils and slept on the altar of God to answer their prayers. I believe in destiny, hard-work, smartness, knowledge and information.we Africans especially Nigerians are too way spiritual and this why we aren't going far, Nigeria has the highest number of churches in the world and expensive edifices for that matter while western worlds are using their money for developments and betterment of the masses lives. |

Genius000:Honestly your post here are some of the best around. You understand how a thread like this should function and leave out personal sentiments. I share your opinion. Reading through his post all I kept on wondering was how he structured his research proposals. But I didn't see none of that, all I saw was have faith. There have been a lot of Christians, Muslim's and traditional worshippers (I suppose) who have gotten TRV and also rejected. If religious faith is given all the credits, then there'll be serious contradictions here. I think people should endeavour to emphasise the practical measures taken to compose their applications. That will be more helpful to everyone. |

My joy knew no bound when I received the mail. Hello Sir, I was extremely happy.
I knew this was it, so I kept praying and believing in God. As a sharp Nigerian like you
, I quickly fired-in my application with alacrity, making sure her name reflected both in my Letter of Intent and in the application form before replying her mail. My fear was that I had 3,66/5.00 which if converted to percentage equals 73.2% approximately while the school requirement was 75% for a MASc, though i had 4.00/5.00 (80%) GPA in my last 2 years.
Isn’t that funny?!! Full funding indeed
!…Any way they are Correct! The Influential person is God…. Abi no be so? He’s the most influential person in the entire Universe.
