But to my surprise I called the school and told me my name is on number 22 on the waiting list which indicates their class is alread full for this year september intake and said I might no get the admission next year september too because my number on the waiting list is 22 and their class capacity for the course is just 16. But game me an option to apply again for 2018september intake.

Please can anyone help with any college that can offer me admission for this september 2017 intake, though I know is a bit late but wouldnt mind if I can get the admission.I have all the documents to apply for the application and the TRV on ground. As my sponsor might not be ready for me next year.

Not entirely true though. He might be right actually since he has his offer letter.
Atleast from mine ...phd uottawa, I got RA of $19000/year, admission scholarship which covers tuition, TA of 8000/year and other funding from the graduate office.
It depends on the department and program though.

You are right however with respect to Vanier, the.money no be.here ...50k per year...

Reading through your post, I do not think you have said anything differently from what @Onyeoma3 posted... and from my little point of view he has his info right!

There's even no cause for argument cos you seem to be on a same path..

@Onyeoma3 has only advised SURGEE to recheck his submission so we won't be digesting unconfirmed reports that will end up misleading guys on the thread!

It is well...
Regards.

My reasons for refusal are: (1) I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies you intend to pursue
(2) travel history
(3) family ties in Canada and in country of residence
(4) personal asset and financial status.
Pls guru I want to reapply how can I tackle this abeg. My school is Cape Breton university, undergraduate

My little opinion based on what I have read.

Direct bank to bank transfer between your sponsor's account and yours, supported by your and sponsor's statement of account printed afterwards.

After, you need an affidavit and letter of support clearly stating that the amount was transferred on the day as a commitment to your study.

He'll state the amount given to u in his letter of sponsorship and affidavit of sponsorship. You will provide d evidence by submitting ur SOA to attest to that. If it's going to be b a transfer between his account and ur account, it wud make more sense cox that would b reflective on both SOA from u n ur sponsor.

Monopolising admission application process in this present day and age still baffles me.

I would suggest that you send the school an email and let them know that you have contacted the agent and deemed it preferable to apply to other schools instead due to their unfavourable admission application policies. In as much as they're giving you admission and transferring knowledge to you, it's not free, you're also using your hard earned money to acquire the knowledge.

Good luck in your search.

am a geologist like you, bro getting a master admission with your grade is quite difficult just to be truthful with u, you should know by now how sensitive and competitive Geology as a course on its own is, they dont admit much even msc here in naija with geology. you likely going to face difficulties in securing a master admission with 2.2 in Canada and with Geology.
thanks for your reply here. I will have reply you since but nairaland admin blocked my username on nairaland. So this is the reason why I register another username today. Please I want to ask with my level of class I told you about. Can I apply for pgd then. I already enrolled for IELTS exam. I have booked the exam for the month of may. Please I need your reply. I want to go for geophysics or petroleum geology. Thanks for your reply so far.

You can go for PGD if that's d option you want bcox of ur low CGPA, but I don't know if u can find petroleum geology at PGD level.cox this is an aspect of geology that I know is majorly found at Msc/Phd level but u can get petroleum engineering technology at PGD. Make ur search through Google and see what you can come up with. Can i ask u y u want to write IETLS exam? Cox u don't need it for most admission in Canada.

thanks for your reply. I will apply for the petroleum engineering on PGD level then. Well canada is part of countries that do accept IELTS result. Even they usually ask for the results when applying for their scholarship. I have checked south alberta institute of Technology. I can see they are offering petroleum engineering you talked about. But their registration process is giving me headache. I don't mind if I can get the link of their application form.

Thanks for your response, I emailed the man who agreed to supervise my Phd program and he promised to get back to me on Monday, also I emailed the graduate study secretary who actually filed the application for me and she said The department is still awaiting feedback from the faculty about the Deans award scholarship and actually that's is why the decision on my admission is still on the wait as the outcome of the deans scholarship application have a direct effect om tbe addmission , so to a reasonable extent your suggestion might be wrong, but nonetheless i am going to wait till Monday for the professor to getb back to me
If you haven't heard anything about the dean's scholarship as at now simply means you have been rejected (sorry for the harsh words). Your supervisor applied for you so he ought to have gotten the decision as at now. Better still, mail awards@usask.ca to inquiry about the scholarship. I also advice you mail your supervisor asking him about the result, he ought to have been communicated on the outcome. Lest I forget, have you gotten an admit?

Good evening guys, kudos for the help rendered here all the time. May Almighty continue to help us all. I'm going to be short and brief about this. I'm a steady follower on USA visa student section, but I needed to change my choice due to some circumstances beyond my control. I'm a graduate with HND, studied urban and regional planning, currently not working but I have someone who is willing to shoulder my travel expenses. I just want to know if the Canada procedure is the same as USA procedure cos I've come across some acronym (SOP, TRV, CIC e.g.) here which doesn't ring a bell. Can someone put me through few or maybe the important things I need to know asides writing GRE and TOEFL. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi guys,

Please, I need your opinion. I got a land 6 months ago from a friend and have not bothered to do the change of ownership in my name. I got it from my childhood friend and so wasn't scared or in a haste to change the name on the land documents to my name. We just have a deed of assignment. Can I use this deed of assignment and the land documents with his name on it? Or do I forget using this land document since my name is not on it? I have no other personal asset I can use.

Cc austinpee4, folaroyal, Yemdogg, Michv, penitential and any one who can help.

Any asset(s) that is not in your name is NOT yours. So it's either you do the change of ownership to yourself or use the other asset you own.
