Exclusive – Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Included By Conte In His Pre Season Plans

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/image-108.jpg

On loan Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo has been offered a spot in Chelsea’s pre season squad, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Omeruo left Chelsea for another loan spell in Turkey with Alanyaspor, but signed an extension before leaving for what was his fourth consecutive loan spell away from the club.

He was coerced into signing the extension by coach Antonio Conte, who promised him a spot in his team when pre season training commences before the start of next season.

Omeruo has played his own part in the bargain by cementing a spot in the Alanyaspor side, and will now be given the chance to fight for a first team spot by Conte.

The Nigerian was on the verge of breaking into the first team of Chelsea in 2014 but an unfortunate shoulder injury which ruled him out for three months denied him the chance to impress then manager Jose Mourinho.

However with club captain John Terry set to depart the Blues this summer, Omeruo and Kurt Zouma will be given the chance to push as his replacement before Chelsea start any transfer business in central defence.

I think he came in for an injured player in the second half and they were playing with 10 players.

Why u con dey laugh na?
That ur comment reminded me of one of my pals way back by name Shola.

Ade Akinbiyi of Leicester City, if u remember him, was in the spot light then.

We heard so much of him and had an opportunity of watching him in a Cup game.

Leicester lost. Akinbiyi had no impact in the match. My friend now said ' him men no pass ball give am'. Lol! Just almost d way u said it.

It is good to always have a fantastic quality pool of fine players and super talnets....

In the world of football today, I must say that The nations witnessing a rapid breakthrough of abundant top young talents (u-21/23) and massive improvements from their players are as follows....

- France: Mbappe, Coman, Bakayoko, Benjamin Mendy, Lemar, Ousmane Dembele, Adrien Rabiot, Alban Lafont (my most favorite young teenage goalie right now... i rate him slightly ahead of Donnarunma), Moussa Dembele (Sir Komekn's nephew) grin , Anthony Martial.... etc....

- Nigeria: Onyekuru, Samuel Kalu, Kelechi Nwakali, Alex Iwobi, Ademola Lookman, Kelechi Iheanacho, Ndidi, Orji Okonkwo, Isaac Success, etc....

- Portugal: Andre Silva, Renato Sanches, Bernardo Silva, Adrien Silva, Andre Gomes, etc.....

-Germany: Julian Brandt, Julian Draxler, Leroy Sane, Davie Selke, Werner, Joshua Kimmich, etc....

These four nations...... hmmmmm..... Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, and even Italy with Donnarumma dey ooo.... Even Senegal deserves a mention.... but these four above lead the way in terms of stars for the future in abundance....

So in all... this is really good for our football.... smiley

Our second Golden generation is still super possible with these lads and more to come...

forgiveness:
Gone are the days we witnessed drought of good players. With Onyekuru doing well, we have many options on the left wing.

No more sharaka. grin

Rohr On Alert As German- Nigerian Left Back Target Torunarigha Shines For Hertha Berlin

https://owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image.jpg

The search by the coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr for options at left full back might be coming to an end following the giant leap made by German-Nigerian left back Jordan Torunarigha.

Presently Rohr has been unsuccessful in his search for a credible back up for first choice and second vice captain Elderson Echiejile, as Kingsley Madu has failed to provide the kind of challenge the manager wants for the Sporting Gijon man.

Torunarigha has been on the manager’s watch list for a while, and last night the German-Nigerian full back made his first team bow by playing for 27 minutes in their 1-3 loss to Hoffeinheim in the Bundesliga.

He was introduced for Vedad Ibisevic and despite coming on with his team under pressure, the 19 year old who is proud of his Nigerian heritage, as he has the country’s flag on the header of his instagram account gave a good impression of himself.

Although he has represented England at youth level he qualifies to play for Nigeria through his dad Ojokojo Torunarigha who played for Nigeria League side Shooting Stars years ago.

Even in Gabby Jesus' absence, you can see the way Paulinho stepped up from his CM position.

They still get Douglas Costa ooo... Brazil's team synergy is coming back and they will be a strong force at Russia 2018.

As for Jordan Of Hertha BSC, I believe we will get him and finally have a good backup for Echiejile... smiley

e tire me nor be small
the painful thing is that the dude see it as normal..
he is not even ambitious... so pathetic.
while his mates are getting play time elsewhere he feels comfortable being relegated to off bench.

so painful...I really think the belief he has that in city game time or no time his place in SE is secured is something we should look into...
I hope Tammy agrees to play for us...
he might just be the striker we have been waiting for

Mazzarri Charges Success, Watford Teammates To Improve On Scoring Chances

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/image-57.jpeg

Watford boss, Walter Mazzarri, has called on Nigerian forward Isaac Success and his teammates to improve on their goal scoring form.

Watford pipped Sunderland 1-0 at Vicarage Road on Saturday thanks to Miguel Britos' goal.

Prior to Britos' goal on 59 minutes, Success who was subbed on, had a chance one minute earlier but his goal bound shot was deflected for a Watford corner.

And in the 81st, Success would have wrapped up the game for Watford but saw his low goal bound shot punched away by Sunderland goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford.

Commenting on the win, Mazzarri lamented Success' inability to kill the game when he was presented with a chance late in the game.

"The only thing is we should have scored at least one more goal," Mazzarri toldSky Sports.

"Their goalkeeper was very good. We need to improve, especially improve in the last 25 yards with the final pass.

"Success had a very good chance and we had to take it. This is something we have to improve."

The former Inter Milan boss insists he is not worrying about his team's league position rather he is more concerned about performances on the pitch.

He added: "I don't look at how many points we need. I'm not looking at this.

"I'm looking at the game by game and how to improve. For example, to move better with the ball, to be sure to know where you pass it.

This is how we improve."

Omeruo Celebrates Helping Alanyaspor To Beat Former Club, Kasimpasa

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/image-3.jpeg

By Izuchukwu Okosi:

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo is in an ecstatic mood following his club, Alanyaspor's 3-1 win over his former club and Emem Eduok's club, Kasimpasa, in a Turkish Super League match on Saturday, Comple tesportsnigeria.com reports.

Omeruo, a loanee from Chelsea, who played for Kasimpasa also on loan before joining Alanyaspor, featured for 90 minutes while Eduok was an unused substitute for the opponents..

Omeruo wrote on his Twitter handle on Sunday of his excitement.

"#alanyaspor 3-1 #kasimpasa.
"We keep going up. Great fight boys. And it was good to see my friends from Kasimpasa," the former youth international wrote and posted the message with a picture of him shaking hands with the players on bench of Kasimpasa.

Saturday's game at the Bahcesehir Okulları Arena was 20th of the season for Omeruo while Eduok has played 21 league games with three goals to his credit.

Omeruo has been yellow-carded six times this season, but the second Nigerian at the club Akeem Latifu, a defender, has not played any match in the 2016/2017 season.

China: Ighalo Fires Blanks, Ujah Scores As Yatai Fall, Hongyun Win

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/unnamed-2.jpg

Nigeria striker Odion Ighalo and his Chinese Super League club Changchun Yatai suffered their third straight league defeat after losing 2-0 at home to Shandong Luneng on Sunday just as Anthony Ujah scored to help Liaoning Hongyun to victory, Comple tesportsnigeria.com reports.

Shandong Luneng’s two goals were scored by Senegalese and former Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse.

Cisse, who was partnered in attack by former Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, opened scoring in the 59th minute before wrapping the game up in the 81st minute.

Ighalo was in action for Changchun Yatai and played for 90 minutes.

Since joining Changchun from Watford in the January transfer window, Ighalo is yet to score.

The defeat means Changchun are bottom in the 16-team league table.

Ighalo’s compatriot Ujah was on target for Liaoning Hongyun in a 3 – 1 win over Jiangsu Suning also in the CSL on Sunday.

Former Werder Bremen star Ujah scored Hongyun’s second goal in the 69th minute to make it 2-1 to the hosts.

James Chamanga opened scoring for Hongyung with a penalty in the 30th minute, but Suning equalised eight minutes later through Song Wang.

Yu Yang made it 3-1 for the hosts in the 87th minute to seal the win.

Mikel Scores First CSL Goal, Ideye Features As Tianjin Win

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/unnamed-3.jpg

By James Agberebi:

Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi was on target as Tianjin TEDA secured their first Chinese Super League win of the season after three games as they beat visiting Chongqing Lifan 2-0 on Sunday.

A goal from Mikel on 48 minutes and an own goal from Chongqing Lifan’s Goran Milovic in the 82nd minute sealed the win for Tianjin TEDA.

The goal was Mikel’s first after three games in the Chinese Super League since joining Tianjin TEDA from Chelsea in the January transfer window.

Also in action for Tianjin TEDA was Mikel’s Nigerian teammate Brown Ideye who was replaced in the 65th minute by Dong Wang.

The game was Ideye’s second league appearance for Tianjin Teda.
