110% correct !!! Bini are are closer to Yorubas/SW culturally, politically and even linguistically. There is almost no unity of purpose between Edo state people and the people further east and it has always been that way

When there was a referendum in 1963 they were the only ones who voted in the majority to stay in the old western region while all the other tribes Urhobos, Igbos, Ijaws etc chose to leave and form Mid-Western region which later became Bendel State.

Edo was included as part of "South South" because there is oil there and to help divide the people of the Niger Delta. Funny how this Ugolor man is doing exactly what he is hypocritically accusing Asari of.
