Nigerians like talking nonsense. the reason a lot of Nigerians are still talking "e go better" is because they haven't crossed the borders of this country to see how beautiful life can be. in 2017, someone is still saying "when we have electricity, we shall..." and then have the nerve to make fun of those who worked their way out to a place that is so much better than your "we shall..." dream land, many comments here are making fun of this guy as if they wouldn't trade places with him in a heart beat if they had the opportunity, he has acquired permanent residence already, he can stay in the EU for life, now he's qualified for citizenship & nigeria is doing what it does best, holding citizens back, he'll still acquire german citizenship, they have exceptions for ppl in his shoes, he just needs to show proof that he tried and failed which he now has. I used to be hopeful for nigeria too but it will not get better anytime soon. it does not nurture potential, it does not reward hardwork, it does not encourage ambition. the best grow up and discover they can do better and move abroad, massive brain drain happening in this country, only the ppl with no opportunity stay behind, how can such a country progress, even those living in the country save money to give birth in the US, those kids will grow up and run off with their black passports. no security, no order or professionalism (those who have crossed customs/immigration at the airport severally can relate) no infrastructure. someone working at mcdonalds in london earns more than a doctor in nigeria and enjoys better quality of life. no one really loves nigeria, they just have no choice. Nigeria is not a country, it's a business, few are profiting and the others are suffering and smiling, rejoicing when those who escaped nigeria have problems, misery loves company. |

Pchidexy:Yes I do. People still steal e.g. the 200m grass cutting saga...but believe me, if you have followed our democracy since 1999, you would know that there is more accountability than before. All we need is a great leader who would actually develop Nigeria. Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode all definitely enriched themselves but you can't dispute that they excelled compared to past Lagos Leaders. |

Buhari is a mistake of a president. He is fit to be a councilor or a local government chairman. So clueless old man. |

I didn't choose to be Nigerian. If given a choice I wouldn't choose this curse at all. No water, no electricity, no roads, no security, no food, no leader, all we have is witch craft. Someone can just fall on the ground and die. I'm surprised most Nigerians haven't started commuting suicide already. Those that realise there is no hope opt for suicide as a means of a "Restart". |

JustinSlayer69:A country the President seeks medical treatments Abroad, Instead of building an adequate medical institutions in his own country, I Admire your optimism but Nigeria will never ever, ever ever ever get good let alone better. |

JustinSlayer69:And where is Nigeria in the indices of development like: good roads, good health care, electricity, sanitation and general quality of life? Brother, you have to accept reality. We re retrogressing. When I was younger, we use to have electricity for close to 18hrs. Now, I don't know if electricity is still existing or not. Many things have gone wrong. |

Pchidexy:Rome wasn't built in a day. Read up on Malaysia, Singapore and UAE. Ask Lagosians about what I wrote about their leaders. It all was a result of almost 18 years of sustained hardwork. Yes they had huge allocations but what if their leaders had behaved as their predecessors and claimed Lagos was ungovernable? (that was what I said when someone from Lagos was lauding Fashola till I was shut up with progress made). I have been around for decades, where and when did you have light for 18 hrs? Are you living in the same place still? |

gypsey:If only you actually read my post, you would see where I criticized the grass cutting saga. If you don't ever wish Nigeria to be good and your prayers are answered, why whine about it? And you actually have the option to leave (on a Nigerian passport )Makes zero sense to me. |

JustinSlayer69:I repeat, when I was young, we use to have light for close to 18hrs. This is a fact. However, nowadays light has gone to the dogs. Will you still deny that graduates where once given automatic employment and other benefits on graduation. I used to enjoy pipe borne water in my compound but all those things re now non existing. False patriotism is your problem. |
