fast forward on Sunday I decided to update it since the "updater app" is showing me new update since.
After the update (6hundred and something megabyte) the phone rebooted then started showing me

the guy removed the Mi Account before handing over the phone. I even double checked and since then I didn't create my own (no need).
I called the guy he didn't remember the password, and He said he deactivated it (which I saw him do).

My Note 4 X Miui version is a vendor rom (8.1.10.0.0). I specifically asked dreami store to flash the official global rom. I am really disappointed. Is there really an official global rom for the phone? I will need to flash as soon as possible. Dreami has lost one customer. Mctewww. See me expecting global rom all the way.

In miui forum i see the one for Note 4. There is China stable version and Qualcomm global stable rom. Which is best for me? My miui version is Global 8.1 stable 8.1.10.0.0(MCFMIDI)

You need to be patient, just checked now, the rom download page doesn't display any Redmi note 4 variant apart from the mtk version, both the Redmi note 4 sd and Redmi note 4 x has been removed, they probably are working on some stuff.
