deomello: Osun was owing 79m dollars as at 2016 according to the Nigeria Debt Office and reported in Vanguard newspaper. Osun is no 7 among the most highly indebted states but it has the least ability to pay. You can see from the screen shots below how much Osun is owing and states allocation.

engineerboat:He misinterpreted the figures. Aregbe did those roads with debts and this scandalous allocation shows the high levels of debt repayment that reduced the state's allocation to that of a local government council. |

seniorkachion: Thanks Jare. Oju ti mi when i saw how Aregbesola was analysing this scandalous debt. Just look at Him. Aregbesola Explain. Osun is populated by 4 million people. Its debt profile of N162.5 billion is to be repaid in 20years as DMO intervened to help States extend their loans life span. This implies that each Osun indigene is obliged to pay N2,031.25 per annum for a period of 20years to repay the debt. If this is divided per day, every Osun citizen will pay N5.56 (five naira, fifty-six kobo) daily for 20 years, which is not enough to buy a sachet water popularly called Pure Water! |

All the shameless Igbos sef. Na jealousy go kill all of una. Aregbe is already servicing the state's debt, which explains the state's low allocation for sometime now, YET he's still able to deliver on more QUALITY infrastructural projects (as attested by the the NULGE president) than all SE states combined, including the ones that don't supposedly have as much debt as Osun. Smh. Without as much debt Aba is still a cesspit and can't even fix its perennially and infamously terrible roads, and Onitsha is still as dirty as ever and remains the most polluted city in the world, yet these people no get shame, na Osun matter them dey wail over. Baba God abeg when will you show ipob touts mercy and dash their drug-trafficking behinds some sense, na beg I dey beg. 2 Likes |

Re: Osun’s Roads, Schools Have No Parallels In Nigeria – NULGE President (pix) by deomello: 8:40pm On Apr 21, 2017 |
seniorkachion: 1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with debts as long as there's something on the ground in form of capital projects to show for the debts. 2. After Lagos state, Osun delivered more projects than the rest of Nigeria. 3. Saying Osun can not manage their debt is just ignorance because Osun state is still commissioning projects left and right and absolutely no work stoppage on the ones under construction so obviously, they are managing their debt properly. 4. Salary payment is not peculiar to Osun state, nearly all the states in Nigeria owe salary and many of them collected FG bailout so why is Osun special? If you are going to show crocodile concern about debts, you should be focusing on your own state where they have nothing to show or face states like Delta with debt twice Osun.s debt and absolutely nothing to show for it. Seems you people get some extra mojo over Osun state hence you meaningless fixations on Osun state that's actually doing better than many states in Nigeria. 3 Likes |

engineerboat: Dude, I don't give a flipping funk about none of that crap. Go and open a separate thread and wail abeg. The NULGE President has stated his opinion based on the evidence he has seen on ground and he's entitled to his views just like anybody else. This thread is about EVIDENCE of Aregbe's strides in the area of infrastructural development and no be photoshop. Even if he's owing you can't deny the fact that he's delievered on these projects. Besides, Osun isn't the only state with backlogs of obligations in one form or another, yet unlike many of his peers (who supposedly have lesser debt burden) Aregbe's still managing to service the debt AND delivering on solid infrastructural projects. People like you only see and highlight negativity and will never acknowledge any positives. So please buzz off my mention. Thanx. 1 Like |
