2. DISCONNECT your SELF from friends who say dirty, sexually provocative and immoral things/chats/text-messages AS A MATTER OF URGENCY BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT COMMANDED YOU TO DO SO! Stop all sexy banters with friends (you are sexy/hot, am I not sexy/hot?, you are slaying e.t.c) and say only things that are pure, holy, needful and helpful {Phil.4:8}

3. Get busy with your life, education and career, there is more to life than sex.

4. Transmute your sexual energy: Channel your sexual energy into something great. I had a strong sex drive in the institution. I simply channeled them into my education making me the best student in my department from the second year. I was very excited and energetic. I BURNT the ENERGY on my STUDIES. I also started my ministry and was very committed as my fellowship BIBLE STUDY CO-ORDINATOR. I'm going to give this advice to you and Prudent200 ... Someone already told you to think about the consequences and try to help yourself and all, but we know its easier said than done.

To Really overcome Masturbation, what you need is baby steps and practical approach

- Firstly, Know what triggers your urge ( is it boredom , when ur alone? is it when you login to Instagram or fb and some notifications from the "pages" u've like pops up ? etc) I hope u understand all that

- Then try to dissociate yourself from all this triggers... unlike all the pages , delete all the porn pictures / videos in your phone ( even tho one pic/ video is just a click away on the internet ...still delete it, you'll be suprised at what this can do)

- try as much as possible not to be alone all the time , go out meet people ...stay with friends

- Get a girlfriend, Ok you're shy...use fb , instagram, Twitter, Instagram even NL ( you might get lucky )...or you can talk to a female friend/neighbour / cousin etc that you like her friend ...some will say yes , some will say no

- Lastly... For everyday you don't masturbate ,make a mark on the calendar , If you're able to go 3 days in a row without masturbating , star the third date. Try as much to get at least 1 star in a week. Then the following week 2 stars ....Then u can increase the star interval to 4 days and so

Its a very simple and practical approach, As much as people make it seem okay and normal, it has so many side effects
