You might be lucky to get the 2005 kompressor and the supercharger might not fail throughout your entire usage. It all depends but sincerely the 2005 C230 Kompressor is a very fast ride compared to the 2006 C230.

You have a failing AC compressor, the variable displacement compressors In W203 are known to wear out. And yours is exhibiting "low pumping". The throttle not picking up quick is attributed to a number for factors amongst which are,
1. Those cars have a lil lag in throttle and aren't like Japanese cars that pick and go rapidly.
2. Throttle pedal, throttle body, MAF, pump may be defective.

That said, run a scan to know the challenge you are facing before throwing parts at it indiscriminately.

If you're in Abuja, I will run a subsidized scan plus detailed diagnosis for you.

In the case of the low pumping what is the best thing to do? Change the compressor or what? My kasim mechanic advised me to convert the AC be cos w203 compressors are problematic. What do I do?

For me sha any engine less than 6 cylinders is no no I need power like fish need water.
Kompressors, superchargers, turbochargers are nothing more than manipulated small engines.

Dont attack him unnecessirily, ultimately its a matter of choice. For the records, i personally own an 05 Kompressor. My friendsV6 06 model is childs play compared to mine in terms of speed. B4 he gets 100km am way beyond 150. Cant compare. FACT

I still stand by my word that the 2005 kompressor is faster than the naturally aspirated engine equipped in the 2006 model. The supercharger gives the engine more power to beat the 2006 C230 hands down. This issue has even been discussed and thrashed severally in many American auto sites.

Toh, I've not tested a kompressor to know if its faster or not but I know I've raced with them with my naturally aspirated V6 3.2 and they always bow.
Maybe if I handle a kompressor the story will be different.

The 3.2 is by far a bigger engine than the 2.5L and will definitely be faster than the kompressor 1.8L engine. Though there are are bigger engines equipped with the superchargers as well like the CLK320 Kompressor. But i know the 1.8L kompressor will seriously compete with the 3.2L if a good driver is on seat

This is very true and only when both cars are at over 200km/h for sustained period can the naturally aspirated stand a chance of catching up.And those calling all kompressors 1.8l, i shake my head

As much as some kompressors are 1.8l, 2.0l or 2.3l engined, don't mistake them for less power. The 05 c230 is a 2.5l v6. Kompressors are speed demons but if you're comparing a car in terms of speed and you're looking at the engine, don't just say "v6" or "i4". There are various engine sizes and capacities for i4 which I've mentioned earlier and v6 (c240, c280, c320, c300 or even c350). So specifying the engine size would do much good than harm.
The 06 c230 kompressor has 201hp and does 0-60 mph in 6.98 seconds.
The 06 c230 Kompressor has 189hp and does 0-60 mph in 7.04 seconds
The 06 c280 4matic has 228hp and does 0-60 mph in 6.89 seconds
The 06 c350 has 228hp and does 0-60 mph in 6.14 seconds (manual does it in 5.68 seconds).
The 05 c240 (v6) has 168hp and does 0-60 mph in 8.49 seconds
The 05 c230 Kompressor (1.8L supercharger) has 168hp and does 0-60 mph in 8.49 seconds. The c320 of same year has 168hp and does 0-60 mph in 8.70 seconds.

In all these, which is faster?

Please heed your friend's advise. I have used both cars. The Kompressor is very problematic and makes you a regular visitor to mechanics while the V6 is way more smoother and better in all ramifications.

As for the guy rating a C230 2005/6 4plug Kompressor above a C230 2005/6 V6 engine....i smile in Swahili... Speed is mostly a function of the driver than the car. Besides, the said V6 car might have some hidden faults..

But on a very good day and all things been equal, the C230 V6 beats the C230 Kompressor hands down.

I don't think they will listen....u know everyone is passionate about their cars.
Its all about choices at the end.
For me I will prefer a naturally aspirated big engine than a tweaked small engine any time.
When ur charger fails, you are left stranded with a very disappointing small engine.
This is why you don't see S-class equipped with a supercharger aside one time that AMG experimented.

They are good if every other engine components are good to go.
Don't waste money on any platinum or iriduim spark plugs, they serve no special purpose.
Some Itk peeps dat knows nothing from that whatsapp group will soon come n tell you to go for platinum or iridium spark plugs.

Yes they come with Airshocks, some are 4matics some are not even some E320 aren't 4matics.
