The funny thing about this bullish run is that some people will still lose money.
but let's enjoy as the ride continues.

Progress in currency liberalization has always happened when Buhari was away.

Now he is away and people are are anticipating that the system has been loosed from its strong moorings (shackles).

Lets all stay put. We may have an Egypt loading. I'm disappointed mainly because the lower the index stays the better for me so that I can load more before the eventual devaluation. But all the same, lets enjoy the ride.

A pullback may happen if the foreign investors are not Ok with the floatation.

But see below what happened in Egypt and judge for your self whether it is not worth it playing this MMM.

Don't come here to say you JOed and missed out.

Egypt

1st Nov. 2016: EGX 30: 8,448
3rd Nov. 2016: Egypt devalues/floats currency
13th Nov. 2016: EGX 30: 10,917
30th Nov. 2016: EGX 30: 11,453
Current EGX 30: 12,934

Being in the market 2 weeks after devaluation/ floatation is key.

This is going to happen here in naija and is going to be the most important event this year.

Good afternoon house. I have 2200 worth of units of shares managed by Mainstreet bank with universal insurance as trading partner for about 10 years now. Started with 20k 10 years ago. I want to confirm how much that is worth in naira as I have never receive any dividend on it. Thank you

Well if your facts are to go by, can you pls paint a scenario in a lay man's language of whatever or anything that will happen to stocks should the devaluation happen.

In a bull market everyone is a winner but my advice is this:::Dont buy because every stock is moving but buy stocks that has good fundamentals so that when the bears resurface, the fundamental stocks become defensive stocks while others will fall YAKATA.

Egypt

- This has happened technically & quietly with the introduction of NAFEX window (investors window) !
- Using the Nigeria ETF has a gauge, foreign holdings have adjusted to the Investor window price rather than d official price
- Technically , investors have been hit wt a devaluation from N306/$ to N380/$ region
- also making Nigeria cheaper in dollar terms anyway . .

While others are shouting bull, it is the other way round for the stock...But I still don't understand what the problem is...Why the dumping...It has never been this bad at least since I started trading....I will be patient till when Q2 report comes out, if there is still no changes, I will accept my loss and move on....

more important than d picks are

- position sizing
- setting good stop losses after entry
- patience
- keeping emotions under control esp when u have those unexpected draw downs from nasty pull backs

Why risk Mgt is key
- a -20% draw down is easily N2m out of pocket , portfolio wud need a 25% gain to break even ,
- a -30% drawdown will need +43% to breakeven and be be lo

if u can keep the above , u can buy any breakout sef but pref on d pull back

in that case mayb we need to start following the volume on d NAFEX as a tracker/ proxy for the direction on the NSE.

Where can one get the volume done daily on the NAFEX window (i think FMDQ only quote the price)
