there is much panic in Nigeria today because of the level of compliance .. but what I don't understand is, if hausa and yoruba so hate the igbos judging from their coments ..why are they opposed to their leaving ?..

Nonsense, I imagine many who stayed away did so out of fright of immediate reprisals or being labelled and later being targeted; majority did not do so out of their free will, especially traders and shop owners who would be most vulnerable.
Anyway, more grease to their elbows; they should be doing that more often - imagine stress free days without Igbos on the streets.

This is a clear indication of where biafra lies, with the 5 igbo states!

I'm in PH. There is movement and work as usual. I'm sure same is for yenagoa Asaba uyo calabar which are not Igbo cities.

I have nothing against Biafra movement but it should not include us here in PH.

Asaba is not an Igbo city? The way u people lie eeh

Click on the link for video of aba road! What else do you want?

You are a complete joker. Even though you tried to hide it in your video, you actually ended up justifying that portharcourt was shut down

First the length of the video is so short, it makes a person wonder why.
Second, when your video started, you showed an empty market which you immediately pushed your phone or whatever you used to record it down and the brought it back up to record a short set of people forgetting that in the background of the part you decided to show as your "evidence", you can clearly see the market does not have that many people in it, likewise some of the shops were closed down. grin grin cheesy grin

Third the side of the road you showed people walking had a small number of people on that road.
Infact you can count the amount of people in your entire video and PH is constantly busy that we shouldn't even be able to do so.

Fourth the gas station you showed on the video was closed grin grin grin

You ended up proven that PH was shutdown in your pathetic attempt to claim otherwise grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

I do share your sentiments about our incompatibility. I'm not a fan of the Nigerian entity as it is presently structured. But with better federal structuring, we'd have less to do together. I just believe both sides need to have a conversation and find the best and least acrimonious way to get out of this impasse, we just cannot afford another clash. And no, this is not me putting the blame squarely on IPOB. The intransigence and insensitivity of the present federal government as regards this situation disgusts me.

Not impressed, nationahood is not not won on the platform of mischief and mAnipulation, but on the podium of legacies and unification and selfless service. That I don't see here...i don't see any current leaders with track record,i don't see selfless service or unification of sort...all that shows is divisive manipulators working for money bags in diapora

mathy001:

I understand all these things. Everyone is tired of Nigeria, to be honest. Nothing works. However, how will Biafra be better? That is the question Biafrans should ask themselves! Here is a list of JUST 10 of the problems with Nigeria:

1. Multiethnicity
2. Corruption (endemic to EVERY ethnic group in Nigeria)
3. Mutual hatred (even within same ethnicities)
4. Pull-Him-Down Syndrome
5. Self-before All (my own, my own mentality)
6. Dishonesty (shown by EVERYONE)
7. Tribalism (this is pretty obvious, even within homogenous ethnic groups)
8. Lack of maintenance culture
9. Laissez-Affairez behaviour
10. Youth unrest and crime (both domestic and international)

Now the question again is how will all these, and many more unlisted problems, suddenly vanish in Biafra? Won't the Biafrans be the Nigerians we see today in Anambra, Enugu and Imo? Will they fall from the sky? Will their leaders be killed? What exactly will happen?

Granted, the only thing Igbos may assuredly gain from Biafra is the ability to dominate their government and have the political might to do whatever it wants. It is this might that Yoruba and Hausa checkmates in Nigeria.

Talking about minorities now: with the Igbo might left unchecked by any majority group in Biafra, who knows what will happen? Who knows? Let's forget about the idealism and utopia propagated by the IPOB members. All those are propaganda. Let us face the real reality once and for all.

I wish Biafra well and if it comes to fruition and succeeds, it is well and all good. But Biafra will have better chances as an Igboid contry. Leave the minorities to sort out themselves. If they want Nigeria, fine! If not, fine! But let them speak for themselves! Freedom and frewill are important human rights! You can't force anything on them, even a referendum! They'd have to demand for one first before they get it.
You really made sense here. This is what i expect from people who are against Biafra and not the rantings i ve been reading here from fools. Objective submissions like this is what i expect. Thanks.

Respect to every Igbo person who defended Igbo honour on this thread. My respect for you guys greatly deepened today. I remember the nairaland of old with the likes of bisola, Bluetooth and dayokunu and others who bullied and trolled you to no end. Gradually the resilient Igbo spirit prevailed and today you all are standing tall while they are no where to be found. Migwo to my brother atlwireless. Hailings to Truckpusher (he later fell by the way side) it has tayed o, dozzybaba was a trailblazer, how can I ever forget policewoman and the very intelligent American based doctor ( I don't forget her name) who later deactivated her account. Onenaira6 my brother almost laid down his life for the Biafran cause. Kudos to others too numerous to mention including pazzien abi wetin from Akwa ibom. Una well-done.

Any typo error, make Una no vex, I dey hungry.
