Am 20yrs own a business of mine presently (not so much),but proposing to open a second branch this month. I was not a dullard in my class, I was average but I was a dullard in my house.I realized on time (b/w 16-17 yrs old) that I was not cut out for education after so much of kiyosaki, Bill Gates and so on.So I opted not to go to the university it was not easy my parents refused to support but all thanks to God today I have not regrets. The most intelligent ones in my set are still in their final year, not have yet realized what the real world is all about but I wish them luck and for the dullard who couldn't stay up to ss3,I be sincere with you,he is richer than the owner of my school although his parents supported him .

Bill Gates was never dull. He got into Harvard to study mathematics. He dropped out because he felt he wasn't the best in class as he used to be in other schools

He dropped out because the idea for microsoft was "time-critical". He needed to do it before someone else beat him to it. He never had a bad grade at Harvard.

Unfortunately, Nigeria Education is not a true test of how smart or dull you are. If you had asked about crammers I would have used Nigeria Education to judge. The reason why some best student in Nigeria class don't do well after school is that the school system has killed their 1. Creativity Skills 2. Decision Making Skills 3. Analytical skills. All subjects/courses thought should be structured in this way but so unfortunately we don't have it yet. that's why most firm goes abroad finding graduates that has those 3 skills, even as an entrepreneur you need those skills to survive. that's why Bill Gates could come up with Microsoft (creativity skill), analyse the feasibility and viability(Analytical skill), then drop out since he is convinced on his idea(Decision making Skill), same applies to Mark, Steve and all great men. Even firms recruit base on that because they need to keep improving that's why most investment banks will keep watching out for MBA certificate from abroad.

We need to do something different, our style of education was useful in the INDUSTRIAL AGE (1960-1995), but we're now in INFORMATION AGE. that's why there's that wide range of unemployment in the country. I have a dream of becoming the Minister of Education.... SO HELP ME GOD.

Excellent Analysis!
I wish that your desire to head the education ministry comes to be.

"Untill you find and do what you are good at and succeed at it, you are a dullard."

you summed everything up bro. in other words no one is dull, the enemy is yourself, many never pay attention to their strength and weakness, plenty de do folo-folo. once you get to know your strength and weakness and find the best way you can exploit them, then you can start talking of fulfilment and beauty of life.

for those that would want to have an idea of what their strengths and weaknesses seem like visit

That link there is a great read, I was not aware of it when I wrote that quote.

It really expatiated what I had in a capsule.

Surprisingly, tomorrow (being a sunday) the same sermon of that "new" "kingdom of God is at hand" would be preached and when we look at the present day reality, that "new" Kingdom is the kingdom of information already at hand, though "is passing away" will hold away for a few thousand years.
