Yes, the eggs hatches themselves. Yhe size of your pen will determine your stock.

what could be the size of the pen, if I choose to start with about 500 snails. How long would I have to wait before I start selling it? thanx.

A year plus. You have to let the 500 all enough eggs for you before you sell them off.

For me, you should start selling after 2 years.

while transferring the eggs, did you had direct contact with them, or you covered your hand with gloves or other protective cover?

i didnt touch them though, i used spoon to pick them with some sands in it. i didnt intentionally pick the eggs, i wanted to change the sand, as iv seen my snails dieing. ever since i change the soil, no snail has die. in general, it is advisableto leave the eggs where they were laid and remove the hatchlings once they are available.

It is very important to note that, snails is not a short term income business. B4 u start making money from it, be rady to rear for at least one and half year to two years. And b4 u start, make sure you have enough space esp for d AA. Snail rearing isnt as easy as u people think. It was when i had started i noticed its not easy.

My snails are around 200 {AM}, 50 {AA}, LIKE 500-700 {AF}, though, still gonna buy more. My target is to have like 10,000-20,000 by d middle of next year. I will move them to a acre of land given to me by my sister. Though no money to yet but thats my dream. The land is availbale, the snails are also breeding, just the money to invest in the free range by next year. It shall be a success if i get the money. Jah bless.

thank a lot... the space is the problem right now for me.. like 1000 achantina, how much will it cost to feed them in a month, before it become million of snail... how much will it take to feed million in a month... do you have to feed them 3 times a day... am very interested,... what are the risk in snail. are they quick to die ?

you feed only once a day and that is in the evening, even with free range you can get overripe/barely spoilt melons or other fruits from fruits sections in markets for free, the back of cabbages from those mallams for free too. try to vary the food so as to avoid the snails becoming choosy about their food.

NB. the cabbage spoils in a few days, and soak them in water for a few mins before putting in pens

tell them ooo, the least time to sell is 6 months and that is even if you feed them aggressively with poultry mix. it's best to wait for them to stock up your farm/space. its a very land consuming business though, but self-replicating. no need for new stock.

@babyboy4every1 your snails are very extremely overcrowded

only the fulicas are overcroweded and i intentionally did that. the fact that they dont really grow that big has been the reasons. i will be eating them up until they finish. wanna concentrate on margina and achantina achantina. i have a pen that can contain them, but i dont want them to breed, thats y. two more pen under construction. 9ft length, by 2ft breadth by 2tf high. constructing all pen by myself.

By your estimates, how much will it cost you? I am trying to do a comparative analysis with my own plans.
