There are some development towards that . The Singaporeans didn't even need to push for referendum, Malaysians voted them out when they had enough. You people ought to do the same or are you masochists. Kick out troublesome, stubborn Igbos with a referendum.
The last time Igbo packed to their homelands and declared Biafra a sovereign nation, you brought war to our doorsteps. Yet you want Igbo to go the East that is currently being occupied by the Nigerian army so war can be brought to our land when we declared ourselves an independent nation from the zoological rep. Of Nigeria, again?

this is a different climes, we are in democracy, social media is there and the whole world is watching, the people you fear most has given you the go ahead, the ball is now in your court, let all igbos move back to the East and see if they will not actualize Biafra, the international body will take you serious then and even Nigerian government will have no choice but to do a referendum. it's just that you people are not ready to take risk or sacrifice anything for the actualisation of your dear be Biafra and not risk nothing gain, nobody will give it to you on a platter, forget that

These guys are shameless cowards and empty chest beating slaves cheesy

Stop fooling yourself. Mention the names of the so called igbo leaders as you mentioned the northern leader they went meet or bury your face in shame.

I don't see IPOB there. These are just ordinary Igbo men protecting their interests in the North. They are neither leaders nor do they convey the will of the Igbo people.

Formerly i was against the Igbos leaving the North, but after a 2nd thought i saw that its a great opportunity for them to actualise their aspirations. And since the ultimatum came from the Northern youth and supported by their elders.

Spoken very correctly. Let's all study how other geo-political zones reacted to the Arewa youths call against the Igbos in the North. If Nigeir will break up it will happen in pieces.

Mujtahida:

Ohhhhhh if you going to make analogies make correct ones. Soviet union was a political union of countries in eastern Europe. Before the Russian revolution of 1917 those countries Russia, Hungary, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia etc existed as nation States. After the collapse of the Soviet political union they reverted back to their former Pre 1917 States.
Ottoman empire was not a Nation.

It was an empire built by the Ottoman dynasty of Turkey and when it dissolved Turkey still remained a nation just like Rome/Italy to the Roman empire, or the UK to the British Empire.

Only Yugoslavia comes close but not quite because the former Yugoslavia was not made up of more than 250 ethnic groups.

In any case I am not saying we should remain as one. I am only saying we will MOST LIKELY break into pieces

OMAR BANGURA from Sierra Leone has this to tell Nigerians;"*

"I don't think you guys know what you are playing with. You can call each other names and laugh about it now but when you end up inciting hate here as I read through your posts here and a real civil war starts in your country you will regret what you are doing now. Your religious and political leaders are trying to divide you between religious lines and you are helping them do that rather than standing up and say we are all Nigerians never mind our tribe, region or religion. That's the only stand that will save your blessed nation. The foreign powers pushing the government to take certain decisions will abandon you when you start killing one another and reject you from running to their countries so be careful. Our 11 year war in Sierra Leone was not even based on religious or tribal difference and see what we did to our country. The worst conflicts are those based on tribal and religious differences. See Central Africa, Bosnia, South Sudan and Rwanda. To have a better knowledge of this, please watch the documentary/movie called _"Hotel Rwanda"_ or _"Sometime in April"._ My heart bleeds when I read what you guys are saying because I know what this will lead to. _*You will be the losers all of you whether Christian, Muslim, igbo, yoruba or hausa.*_ Stand as one and save your nation together because you have only one Nigeria that has the potential to lead Africa."

_PLEASE HELP SAVE NIGERIA AND SHARE THIS WITH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE.

The fault lines is just too many. Some blame Lugard but if you look deeply you'd realise that it was a brilliant stroke of British statesmanship for him to have wielded this Babel of tribes and ethnic groups into one country . But the responsibility to move us from a country to a nation rested with our leaders
and that's where we have been most unlucky. We've not had leaders whose hearts truly embrace Nigeria. Joebie just this evening I discovered to my shock to read Azikiwe in an interview he granted in the 70's saying that he coined the word 'one Nigeria' Read the interview on this link

These are the real Igbo people who understood what is at stake. Nigeria is a country with lots of potentials if properly managed. All we need is to come together and ensure we keep putting pressure on our leaders till we get things right. There is unity in diversity and we are definitely better together as a big, strong and united country.

Zik and Ojukwu are the most important Igbos that ever lived, and both of them were born in Northern Nigeria. Of course there thousands of others and perhaps a million of the unimportant Igbo such as my own friend the so called ApexPredator.
