Good morning everyone, I am a new member of this forum and I would like to ask few questions as I am 8 months gone. I am currently in Europe with a valid temporary resident permit and I just started considering giving birth in the state.
1. What are my chances of getting a visa as I am 8 months gone.
2. Should I tell the VO I am going for child birth or just family visit because I have an invitation from my sis in law.
3. Like how many weeks do i need in total (booking an interview appointment, getting the visa and leaving for the state).
Less I forget, I am a new mum and a first time mum. Your advice and contributions will be highly appreciated. Hope to read from you all soonest. Thank you.

why not just take the information and move on. It's a faceless forum I still don't get this insult or no insult, polite or impolite matter.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep this in mind.

Hello House,
Please I need this information for my BIL. He sent me this...

At the interview for visa we mentioned vacation at Washington and we plan to stay for just 2weeks. Now I'm planning to change and come to either California or even Texas. My thought is won't they query why not Washington?
I would appreciate any advice to him. Thanks.

Is your BIL pregnant? Lol. Is his wife pregnant? Did they disclose that at their visa interview?

But if his wife is not pregnant or planning to come to the US to birth a child, then I don't think they should have a problem changing destinations. If at all they are asked, in as much as they have a plausible explanation, they should be fine.

You're already 8months gone. Even if you got the visa today and bought the ticket today (which is impossible) I doubt any airline will be willing to fly you.

Looking at a realistic timeline, it takes at least 1-3 weeks to secure a visa interview at a US Consulate/Embassy, 2-3 working days for the visa to be ready. You're near your due date already.

Hi everyone, you don't need to pay anyone money to get visa on arrival. Kindly go to the immigration website, apply and pay online. When you arrive Nigeria, show your receipt and the visa will be given to your LO. Or you can apply and pay in cash or with your card when you arrive. There is just a slight $10 difference when paying in cash.

That is the problem right there, because those 'contacts' are milking it they make it look as if one can not do it online successfully without them.

You can apply online of you don't want to keep feeding those 'contacts'

No harm in trying again. Be mindful that chances of another rejection are high if your circumstances have not changed.

Moreover, you said nothing about what transpired at your interview so it's hard to advise you.

Lol you're 8 months gone, obviously showing, and you think it's a smart idea to tell the VO that "you're just going visiting"? Surely you must think Americans are dumb.

Best advice, have your baby in Europe. I see no reason why you must fly to the US to do that at this stage... healthcare in Europe is cheaper and healthcare indices are better there.

Hello,

Please I just mailed my child's Nigerian visa application to the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington. I'm travelling in less than 2weeks time. I just went on line and read so many negative comments about the embassy and how they delay or even misplace people's passport. I'm really worried. Please what do I do and if anyone knows anybody in the Embassy that could hasten the process please help me out!
Thank you
