You're already 8months gone. Even if you got the visa today and bought the ticket today (which is impossible) I doubt any airline will be willing to fly you.

Looking at a realistic timeline, it takes at least 1-3 weeks to secure a visa interview at a US Consulate/Embassy, 2-3 working days for the visa to be ready. You're near your due date already.
8 months is relative.
It cab be 32 weeks uno

Good morning everyone, I am a new member of this forum and I would like to ask few questions as I am 8 months gone. I am currently in Europe with a valid temporary resident permit and I just started considering giving birth in the state.
1. What are my chances of getting a visa as I am 8 months gone.
2. Should I tell the VO I am going for child birth or just family visit because I have an invitation from my sis in law.
3. Like how many weeks do i need in total (booking an interview appointment, getting the visa and leaving for the state).
Less I forget, I am a new mum and a first time mum. Your advice and contributions will be highly appreciated. Hope to read from you all soonest. Thank you.
1. Ur chances depends on u, Ur preparedness and favour from God
2.tell d vo u r going for child birth....please don't lie
3. If u r 8 months I'm assuming u r 32 weeks.. So meaning by 34-36 weeks u shld b out of naija

Please can someone kindly explain how to go about this visa on arrival for LO?
I'm sorry but I'm still a bit confused. Would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
@justwise @baeboss @desoul

Pls go to the website and submit your application letter together with the required documents (husband's data page, wife's data page, baby's data page, travel itinery etc). They will respond with two letters within two days or less. One letter contains an approval letter addressed to you while the other letter is addressed to the immigration comptroller incharge of the location you choose to arrive (lagos or abuja) instructing the officer to grant your baby visa upon the baby's arrival. You can choose to make payment online or you can pay cash or with ur card as soon as you arrive Nigeria. It is as simple as that@

I'm also using oakbend medical, it's pretty easy I went through the Dr. I contacted Dr Fagbohun then I got a correspondence back with the bill and also oakbend's bill.

first thing you need to do is get a doctor that's accepted to operate with oakbend then go from there.

This is why I don't respond to PM.

How can someone ask for info, you respond. Then not even a thank you?

Then one weirdo will pm and ask where are you chatting from? Is that your problem? My location?

Please stop spamming my inbox

@Twoods.

Please stop misleading people. I just came back from the US leaving my wife behind to have our baby.

My firsthand expereince;

Before the trip, I sent a letter of intent to the US Consulate and got the usual response.

At JFK POE; once the CBP officer took my wife's finger print. He told my wife that it was a good thing she already sent a letter of intent to the US consulate notifying them about her intention to give birth in the US. He was very pleased and stamped us in without further questions.

We were both surprised the information was actually recorded in the system.

We are all adults. Please leave people alone to do what suits them and what they can defend. You live in the US and don't know what travellers encounter just to cross the US border.

Do you really have problem with people coming to the US?

My dear write the letter. You won't lose anything by doing so. If they don't use it at the border, u still haven't lost anything. Better safe than sorry. I don't understand why people automatically assume that everyone that intends to write the letter lied during their interview. Some are just notification of intent not change of intent for pete's sake!

Sorry i dont understand, i have been reading the thread and almost everybody that had visa before and intent to go for childbirth later present their correspondence letter from the embassy at POE. So please help me understand wht you meant by waste of time. That i dont need it? I already have my own visa, just going to apply for toddler son since i didnt travel with him initially.

Lol...No, they are not pregnant, just visiting/vacationing. Thanks a lot. This is really helpful.

MamaOO:

Is your BIL pregnant? Lol. Is his wife pregnant? Did they disclose that at their visa interview?

But if his wife is not pregnant or planning to come to the US to birth a child, then I don't think they should have a problem changing destinations. If at all they are asked, in as much as they have a plausible explanation, they should be fine.

Notification of intent or change of intent letters are a uniquely Nigerian invention. It is not a US immigration requirement.

But they always ask " did u inform the embassy?" Hence the notification of intent.

What they mean is did you inform the embassy at your interview. As I mentioned, afterthought letters of intent are a wholly Nigerian invention. You won't find this requirement on any US immigration site.

I say write the letter. Be it change of intent or notification of intent, sha write! You really have nothing to lose. Leave all the grammar here, save the grammar for POE where u will present ur case. Infact it helped me in Chicago POE.
