How would you justify someone that apply for Sept 2017 last November and was admitted for January 2017? Could that not be supervisor's influence probably due to fund availability? Well, no need to argue much on supervisor's influence on admission, to clarify your doubt and uncertainties, the department had long issued her a new funding letter while the graduate school was not even aware of that. While she await a new letter of acceptance, she contacted the sgs and was told the department is solely responsible for admission/deferral request, once they hear from the department, she would be issued a new letter of acceptance. Schools are distinct and have different process or admission policies...as Ayoola03 stated earlier, so it was! She was practically specific and not theoretically generic. The most important thing here is the person in question(samjumbo) has gotten the required info, he understand much more dan I av spoken nd mind you I suggest u go tru my post once again, "This experience is application to UWO I dnno abt other schools". I can only speak for my school (UWO) and for research based program, diff schools with diff policies. Mind the way u reply a post u av no idea of nd stop talking as if u r sure of wht u r saying. I dont need to giv a full details abt how my admission to uwo got approved to proof to you that you just gave a guess comment.. No one is a genius here, everyone shares his/her"experience" and not "them say talk". You hardly see me comment on a post I no little about nd I dont do a guess work. Please bro @samjumbo keep us updated as we r both in the same shoes. (No offense please) thanks. jnyuwa02: |

Osemigho: If its more than the average processing time of 8 weeks i'll suggest you send a case specific inquiry. It is very much possible they have e mailed you asking for something in particular and mail got lost in transit. Be wise |

Good Morning guys, This goes out to those who got funding from their respective schools. Please when uploading your offer letter, also upload the funding letter too together with it. Why? Most offer letters are in multiple pages (the acceptance letter, the conditions page, the funding page and the document B required for Visa application), so it is advisable to submit/upload all. A friend got delayed because she did not include the funding page/letter. She only submitted document B (I no know wetin she dey think), which apparently did not mention the funding. The VO in charge of the application, did not ask for it either, so she was rejected based on fund issues (even stated so in the GCMS notes too). Although, she reapplied and included that funding page and got approval. So, please I beg you; include all the required documents especially the ones from you school, that might help you explain your position to avoid stories. It will end in praises for us all... Peace... AAOL: Standard processing time is 60 working days. But in some cases the processing time pass more than 60 days if they have much work on there disk . Like my own application is going to clock 5 month on 1 of July . I submitted my application since January 30 till now no update . The last update I received was procedural fairness letter on 10/6/2017 on request for additional information and I was given 15days to reply till now no update from CIC .... 2 Likes |

Hello House, For all those in Canada what does "mid summer" mean? My funding letter is to come out by Mid Summer and I suspect CIC will request for it. Please if I applied for my Study Permit with the offer letter issued to me by my department in UWO - which categorically stated that I am on funding to the tune of so so so and so and that my official Annual Funding Breakdown letter will be issued by Mid summer, Can that be accepted as my funding letter by CIC? do you mean you didnt submit the funding letter with your application? in my own case, the funding letter from the department was issued before the acceptance letter(but just few dayz interval) and on my funding letter same story was also stated and also that the details of the official annual funding breakdown will be released to me wen i resume. i submitted the two letters for my app of whc the funding letter will serve as an evidence of payment for ur tuition fees like wht @mazuide said earlier. but the only difference is they never stated "mid-summer" in the letter.you dont need to worry coz the funding letter is a clear evidence . i think the gurus in the house will tell us wht mid summer means samjumbo: |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by samjumbo: 10:35am On Jun 19, 2017 |
Ayoola03: Actually the letter am expecting is an "Annual official fund breakdown" letter. My department gave me an initial offer letter stating the funding, then sent the same letter to grad school who den issue letter of acceptance. after i accepted my offer, then my department again sent me an offical letter of acceptance stating that i have accepted my offer and started my funding again. then said the break down letter will be issued mid summer. so its 3 letters i submitted all in all in my application. Thanks ayoola03. Be sure i will keep in touch with you on a close marking level based on this UWO pple. but will always post so every reads and benefits. |

samjumbo:Just like @Ayoola03 have stated, You have shown evidence in the funding letter you submited. The main thing is that the amount of the funding was stated and covers IRCC requirements which is the MOST important. Btw, 'Mid summer' is a period mainly observed by residents of quebec and some european countries Marking the ancient middle of the summer period and the astronomical beginning of Summer. Usually from june 19th-june 25th. 1 Like |

yamen21:Nobody can say what the issue really is. You just have to wait for a response from IRCC since you already reached them. |
