you dont need to worry boss, since you have submitted the important letters. but i will advice you keep the "Annual official fund breakdown" letter once it is out because cic can be so funny at times, despite the fact that i attached my funding letter the vo in charge of my application still went ahead to request for an evidence of having paid my tuition for the 1st year,Source of fund for my living xpenses and also bank reference letter. Incase cic later request for a similar document then you can present the "Annual official fund breakdown"letter as evidence. no worries boss, ur trv will be approved without any request for an additional doc by his grace. Enjoy! samjumbo: 2 Likes |

Markab: Admissions For the graduate student is two pronged. Admissions in the academic department and allocation of funding happens first. Then it goes to school of graduate studies for approval. So yes possible that academic department issued new documents and funding without the knowledge of the school of graduate studies. Only a matter of time before they know though, as everything has to pass through them for final approval. The supervisor does not allocate funds, rather he sits on a committee of his department responsible for the funding and can fight for you there. Hope that helps! Yes it operates a little differently from school to school, but not by a major difference. |

How long does a student visa takes to be issued, because I applied on 4th of April and all i have seen when tracking my application is that my processed visa has been forwarded to Accra.. It's been 3 months i applied. And I got admitted in acadia university by the way. |

Boss, we are both saying the same thing. Supervisors can not admit but they can definitely recommend one for admissions. Ghaskiya jnyuwa02: |

Any application that have exceed 7 months definitely there is a problem or else you should contact cic through email |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 4:21pm On Jun 19, 2017 |
bbclue:Actually, he mentioned that his application is a peculiar one and that he has been communicating with the embassy and also, additional documents were requested. So there is no problem whatsoever with the length of 7 months. This is just a rare and perculiar case. Most applications do not take this long. Just a few exceptions. |

After mailing documents to a school, does the school send back whatever reply that may be needed through the same courier service one employed or they use the normal Nigerian post office? I got a previous letter from my school through post office. |

wealth360: Omo, you know I no b guru. That purpose thing no b joke. Except your friend is the person I know, I have someone with similar profile that got purpose too. We need the elders to come in and help. Thesoj et.al. You are highly needed. Purpose is becoming a big deal that SOP can't handled. What do you think we are missing? |

Austinpee4:M.eng chemical engineering. His first degree is also in chemical eng |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Austinpee4: 6:56pm On Jun 19, 2017 |
wealth360:Now here you have the issue! Undergraduate-Chemical engineering Work experience/current activity - bank Proposed program-Chemical engineering. Like we often mention here, the proposed program MUST reflect addition to CURRENT activity. In his case, he hasn't been working as a chemical engineer but in a financial institution. The clearly is no need for a master degree in chemical engineering as 4 years is good enough to have a career in the banking industry. If he finished his degree in chemical engineering recently, he probably would have had a good chance of an approval as it is an advancement of what he studied academically and his purpose would be considered a pure academic exercise. Your friend's profile demands a PROFESSIONAL advancement with his intended program and not his undergraduate study. It will clearly show that a master degree will add to his current career and this also will show career progression and advancement. It is convincing this way that he is a genuine student. So it's either he goes for a program in his role in the bank or show other achievements(research, journals, conferences etc) in chemical engineering since he long left school that will show that a master in chemical engineering is going to significantly help him moving forward in his current endeavour. Untill he really shows he needs the master of chemical engineering, i'm afraid, he may likely still get refused for purpose of visit if he apply with the master of chemical engineering admission. 3 Likes |
