Now here you have the issue!

Undergraduate-Chemical engineering

Work experience/current activity - bank

Proposed program-Chemical engineering.

Like we often mention here, the proposed program MUST reflect addition to CURRENT activity. In his case, he hasn't been working as a chemical engineer but in a financial institution. They clearly is no need for a master degree in chemical engineering as 4 years is good enough to have a career in the banking industry.

If he finished his degree in chemical engineering recently, he probably would have had a good chance of an approval as it is an advancement of what he studied academically and his purpose would be considered a pure academic exercise.

Your friend's profile demands a PROFESSIONAL advancement with his intended program and not his undergraduate study. It will clearly show that a master degree will add to his current career and this also will show career progression and advancement. It is conviencing this way that he is a genuine student.

So it's either he goes for a program in his role in the bank or show other achievements(research, journals, conferences etc) in chemical engineering since he long left school that will a master in chemical engineering is going to help him moving forward.

Untill he really shows he needs the master of chemical engineering, i'm afraid, he may likely still get refused for purpose of visit if he apply with the master of chemical engineering admission.
God bless you sir. Appreciate. Thanks also Osemigho.

Hello gurus in the house.

I'm intending to apply for a Masters degree at Canada. I studied Plant science in my undergraduate but want a course-based program within these province (Manitoba, Saskachewan,Alberta and Memorial University). OR any province.

Please bro and sis, do you know of any course based course that I can apply for without searching for a supervisor.

Nice one baba. You have said it all.

But I won't advise him to go for masters in banking cos its not related to his undergraduate. He might still be denied for purpose of visit.

The best is to engage in a professional certifications, research or any other evidence to show that he has focus in chemical engineering.

Purpose of visit is no longer the way it used to be. If u have wide study gap, then you have the task to prove related activities to your undergraduate studies and not just your employment. They don't care if you work for the top bank in the world.

Good morning house,
I applied for my CA student visa via paper route on the 5th of may, but i have since then linked my application on the CIC website but the response i get is "we found no application" but when i track with the link VFS gave me it says "is being processed at the Canada Visa Office, ACCRA". Please i would like to know from experienced people here if this is particularly normal (since they said to give 16weeks window) when i applied or i need to contact the VFS office to know why i cant link my application on the CIC website.
Thanks a bunch.

I submitted via paper route nt online but in most cases it doesnt exceed 1week while in some cases, it does exceed a wk. If the tracking result is true, it means mine isn't up to a week I.e 8th-14th. You can try to track ur passport to know the status.

Good day Austinpee.
I guess my issue perhaps might be close to the above problem. Presently am a graduate of university of Nigeria nsukka ,business management. I have also managed a hotel and have a vast ict knowledge as i was network administrator and hardware engineer for over 3 years. But then I applied for an undergraduate course in Canada with admission offered to me already. But reading through this it feels my application for study permit will be denied since i have a degree in Nigeria already. Presently I have not applied for the study permit but my aim is to avoid any reasons for visa denials. Please advise on what's best to do regarding the application. Thanks.

Your medicals shouldn't take more than 3/4 hours to finish. They will give you a slip to attach to your application immediately you are done. The result will be sent to CIC by the hospital.
Your hubby cannot do your police report for you because it requires them taking your pictures and finger print. So you have to that all by yourself.
I really think SOP and LOE are the same thing i.e convey the same message in different format. SOP is story like and quite less formal without an address just a title while LOE is in a letter format. Either ways, i think it is the content of the letter/ write up that matters not the way you decide to write it.

Try and give full details u applied for undergraduate admission to what course The truth is going for a second bachelors is not frowned upon really, inasmuch as you can explain to the VO clearly and u equivocally how the degree would be of benefit to you, either at your current job or in any venture.

My question is, why not a Master's degree in your proposed course of study Anyways till you give complete and full info, no one can give you complete and detailed advice
