Sometimes I tend to question Abujaniv and LagosNIV if indeed they're real U.S. visa officers as they claim. They can't be reading this thread and not be of great concern to make drastic changes with their so called visiting visas which has now shown that at least from this thread the main purpose of getting it is just to give birth in the US and not for visiting purpose.

They are as real as it gets and have been as direct as they can on this issue.

I quite agree with you, But the approach of recent has been kinda harsh. Instead of leniently addressing the issue and proffering solution, Someone just bumps into you as if he/she was aware of your intention, financial status and plans.

If you what to attest to what am saying, go through the previous parts of this forum and and see how matters re being addressed and compare to present when all most everybody is a VO and CBP officer. Its a faceless forum and you ned to respect the fact that you dont know who you re addressing.

A little courtesy is just my point which solely is just about the use of some words when addressing matters.

Firsttymum, I agree with you dear, Its very sad to know how we claim that we never knew the intention was to use it for child birth and then come to lie with a change of intent letter and still claim that god is on our side for favor. Just simply do what is right. For me and Dw she when there with a big tommy and it was a straight answer child birth.... no stories or beating about the bush. But to claim you no know say you get belle and then make others feel so badly treated due to your insincerity is ver UNFAIR....

As far as I know, the VOs are constrained by current law. Unlike Nigeria, they cannot simply refuse you because they don't like you. As long as you qualify for a visa and birthing in the US is still lawful, they'll issue you a visa. It's sad that we have taken advantage of this and basically ruined the opportunity for others. Hopefully there will be immigration reform soon that will put an end to this.

I presume there is still a lot of fraud going on, many are just "wiser" to keep it on personal email.

Ever heard of guilt by association? There may be nothing shady about you but the cbp officers have seen enough frauds carrying your passport and coming for the exact same reason as you to be suspicious. You're simply paying for the sins of your sisters, some of whom have decided to sacrifice integrity on the altar of selfish expediency. they don't treat regular Germans this way... I wonder why.

This sets the record straight and prevents future headaches but noooo, we like to cut corners and play smart then start crying foul when the sh.it hits the fan.

And the worst thing us since the beginning of this topic, before the tsunami and beyond, its still the same old story. At a point, people repented, seeing getting a childbirth visa wasnt a crime. Then all of a sudden BOOM! We are back to the same old game. I didn't know I was pregnant. The same way some of us oldtimers dont buy that story is the same way the VOs don't buy the story when its time to renew.

Google search Maryland Nairaland Doctor Hospital Childbirth. All the info you need will pop up. Same with other States and cities you want then contact the Hosp for updated info. Get the relevant documents and take it to your interview.

Someone called me last mth, she wanted to do naija style but changed her mind. She went for interview, told dem she's preg and wants to deliver but she didn't have doc and hosp appt. They put her on admin review and asked her to submit the relevant docs they dhl. She was then looking for how to get doc appts so she can submit. Yday she picked up her visa.

What if you got your visa for visiting and used it for that purpose, in fact multiple times, and got pregnant almost a year later. Would you still need to reapply for another visa interview?

Naa, not at all. Infact, you are a "genuine" visitor, having fulfilled the purpose of the visa. You are free to carry out business, tourism or medical purposes as allowed by a b1/b2 visa

Then use 400k+ and go for your vacation, or invest 64k in securing another visa interview or rely on fate and just do what's on your mind.

Some will come here with spurious stories and once the responses they read aint wat they want to hear, they come up with 'u aint vo/cbp' defence. Since sunday, i ve read all sorts of comments and i cant agree more with the old timers.

Get ur wife pregnant and come and cry 'foul play'. Get visa for vacation and suddenly cant afford vacation but can afford childbirth, as if its 'chicken change'.

Like i said b4, i am praying that i finish childbearing b4 the 'bridge is burnt'.

Like Twood posted recently, guilty by association is a repercussion genuine travellers will suffer.
