true ooo, many have spent millions on the F1 waka and after that no job ,no return on investment. Although some have finished with F1 and gone on to be way more successfully than if they haven't

F1 visa doesn't mean "Everything" to warrant all this extreme praying ...... As anything , get feedback work on improving oneself and pray but with moderation

I agree. Reason why they grant student visas for those pursing masters/pHD more than undergraduate studies.
It makes more economical sense.

Transcript for my silent follower sister. Posted as received. When Grace speaks for you, You become unstoppable. I got to the embassy at 5.am. I started praying. Queuing started at 6.am. I was number 20 on the queue. I continued praying until we entered the main building. After all necessary processes. Interviewing started! I was just seeing people saying unnecessary stuffs. Mostly unprepared. Blue papers flying like pure water. There was this undergraduate guy who was interviewed by the lady that interviewed me. The lady asked why is he going to Florida. He said he love the beautiful cities and the atmosphere is like nigeria own, then most importantly he's interested in watching the biggest game between Real Madrid and Barca. The idiot was talking about el classico for embassy. Naso dem send am commot with hin blue paper. My heart beat faster, although my texrem prepared me for the task ahead and told me to pray and pray. Then the guy i was standing behind, was also given a blue paper. naso my heart collapse. I just started singing God of texrem show yourself today. I'm kidding! grin

Now My turn standing in front of the VO and speaking silently in tongue cheesy

She was so furious and not happy with the student she has interviewed so far. Well, I said in my mind u must gimme my visa. then Grace speaks when i look up to God. Interview proper.

Me: Goodmorning Ma
VO: NO answer

Me Goodmorning ma(with a smile)
VO: Goodmorning, can i have your documents. (look into my i20, sevis, confirmation page)

VO: OMG! this is perfectly arranged, did you arrange all this by yourself?
Me: Yes Ma, I did. I replied with a stunning smile. (Remembering my texrem words: Maintain eye contact, be audible and smile)

VO: ETSU?
VO: Nice

VO: Who's sponsoring you?
Me: My Mum

VO: What does she do?
Me: She's a contractor...........

VO: I will be approving ur visa.
Me: Thank you.

I thank God first and foremost. Thanks to Texrem my blood for the confidence he instilled in me, and all the gurus in the house. You guys are wonderful! I remain the biggest silent follower.

Pray and be prepared. No document asked.

Lol... I never said he should not practice I prayed but not overly and I did cry but I just feel for him going there four times already is what made me think maybe he actually needs prayed and not just practice alone.... Na your faith ,no be the length of you prayr and as they've said practice and check out your previous mistakes too.

I am a young lady in my early 30s, married with kids. I graduated with first class in Economics (2011) cgpa 6.5/7. Recently wrote Gre and scored 156 in Q and 141 in verbal, AW 3.I have been working as a financial analyst with professional training with ACCA. Though I have never tried any university in USA but tried few in Canada for master. I got one already but without funding. Just don't know if am missing something out. I really want a master program with funding.

Please don't see my question as being stupid kindly assist me with information.

That's a smart move. With a Mech. Eng. degree, you can still go back to the oil industry and work as a petroleum engineer. You can also easily get other engineering jobs outside of petroleum too. In contrast, you may find it so tough to get into other sectors with a Pet. Eng degree.

I see you mentioned Engineering Management, some schools have it as a concentration in their mechanical engineering program. My school has it as a concentration in their Industrial & Systems engineering program and I picked that concentration - don't ask me why. So, you see it depends on what you actually want the degree to do for you.

Congrats again not just for the visa but for the wise decision.

Hello guyz, Please I strong need your help as regards my situation I have been down for a long time after applying and paying for my application fee for a graduate study at WEST TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY for MS in Agricultural Science. I was told that they will need WES evaluation before they can work with my transcript ...My question is that ,can i just neglect the application fee and look for another school or pay for the money for WES ? I dont even know how much is the fee for the Evaluation ...Please Help me ..I am tired of this whole thing. Please do you know or have peeps that got admission into the school maybe they can help ..Please help me and give me your thought on this please ..Help me I have wasted a lot of money .. My fear is my undergraduate result is 3.24/5 . for 5 year course. will I make 3.00 out of 4.00 in WES EVALUATION ? PLEASE HELP MY SITUATION !!!

Firstly, if you are planning for Fall 2017, just forget your application fee and apply to other schools for spring 2018 or better still prepare for fall 2018. You might need to do standardized tests to boost your chances for other schools. To avoid this your situation next time, make the grad cord your friend. You should have asked the grad cord specific requirements for admission, if you had asked, you wont be in this situation. Not all requirement are explicitly stated on most school's website. WES is expensive and takes average of 1month or more depending on how fast your undergraduate school respond. Go to www.wes.org to use the free online cgpa conversion to convert your cgpa to a scale of 4, that should give you an idea of your cgpa if you decide to do the official WES evaluation. Even if your CGPA is not 3/4 after using the WES online calculator, there are many schools that will still grant you admission with your present CGPA, so don't sweat it, just research well. By the way, its even funny you are down because of one school's application, do you know the strength it requires to keep up with about 6 schools applications which is what most people here do?. In summary, brace up and pull yourself up.The battle is not for the weak

if your Degree or Course of study is one year or less = NO
If your Degree or Course of study is more than one year = YES
