Hello smart guys of this forum, I am away from the country often and was hoping to get a better broker who will offer me online trading of my stocks. I was thinking about morgan capital, perhaps apt securities or meristem. Please who can offer me advice on the best broker to use. My main concern is online trading of my stocks by myself on a reliable platform, I keep hearing negative stories about morgan capital deducting money, they were also suspended last year. You opinion is highly welcomed.

its even good for u, d stock price is immuned to heavy crash

But the valuation as the stock with the capitalisation could have been manipulation because of stock's scarcity.

There is no limitation imposed on the amount of money that can be spent on 'SPECULATION'.
This does not imply that everyone buying is speculating,, but a good chunk of NON TECHNICAL and NON FUNDAMENTAL cash may form a good percentage of that huge cash.
I am not trying to spoil the party but to make sure someone here did not miss this vital info in this UNIQUE time.

@Ifeann. I use Morgan Capital but I also use United Capital as a backup. Morgan has one of the lowest commissions and United Capital has a minimum of N50,000 to open an Individual Stock Account. You will need a Utility Bill(from Nigeria or from abroad) to open up an account. Welcome back to 9ja..and to the Bull Market

I use morgan, and my former house before itrading appeared.
In terms of itrading I'm yet to hear of a better platform than morgan in nigeria.
However, emmanuelewumi is an institution unto himself in this business so I advise you
contact those reputable organizations he mentioned above to see which one suits your needs.

Notes from Intelligent Investor - Chapter 8

Since common stocks fluctuate, the intelligent investor should be interested in the possibilities of profiting from this pendulum swings. This can be done through timing and pricing. By timing means to anticipate the direction of the stock market, buy or hold when future course is deemed to be upward, to sell when the course is downward. By pricing we mean to buy stocks when they are quoted below their fair value and sell them when they rise above such value.

The moral seems to be that any approach to money making in the stock market which can be easily described and followed by a lot of people is by its terms too simple and easy to last. "All things excellent are as difficult as they are rare".

The true investor scarcely ever is forced to sell his shares , and at all other times he is free to disregard market quotations. He needs to pay attention to it and act upon it only to the extent that suits his book, and no more. Thus the investor who permits himself to be stampeded or unduly worried by unjustified market declines in his holdings is perversely transforming his basic advantage into a basic disadvantage.

Basically, price fluctuations have only one significant meaning for the true investor. They provide him with an opportunity to buy wisely when prices fall sharply and to sell wisely when they advance a great deal. At other times he will do better to forget about the stock market and pays attention to his dividend income and to the operating results of his companies.

The investor with a portfolio of sound stocks should expect their prices to fluctuate and should neither be concerned by sizable declines nor become excited by sizable advances . He should always remember that markets quotations are there for his convenience ,either to take advantage of or to be ignored. He should never buy a stock because it has gone up or sell one because it has gone down. "Never buy a stock immediately after a substantial rise or sell one immediately after a substantial drop".

Mr Market does not always price stocks the way an appraiser or a private buyer would value a business. Instead, when stocks are going up, he happily pays more than their objective value; and, when they are going down, he is desperate to dump them for less than their true worth.

The intelligent investor should not ignore Mr Market entirely. Instead you should do business with him - but only to the extent it serves your interests. Mr Market's job is to provide you with prices; your job is to decide whether it is to your advantage to act on them. You do not have to trade with him because he constantly begs you to.

When you forget to view the changing market prices in percentage terms, it's all too easy to panic over minor vibrations.

The bull market didnr last long enough..lol.
So united capital has an online trading platform?
Is it possible to have several stock brokers trading or overseeing my shares at the same time, does it mean i have to pay the 2500 naira annually for several cscs acounts to be able to see my shares online for confirmation. I guess the brokers will be in a better position to explain when i call them. Thanks again.

Once you have the same Clearing House Number, the N2500 annual payment for cscs online will monitor your holdings in all your stock broking accounts.

@emmanuelewumi. That means the stock is prone to serious price manipulation by the insiders that own 91%. Wow!! that's a shocker and that means Alh. Dangote runs his companies like a private company.

IS DANGOTE FLOUR READY FOR REVERSAL?
Pivotal to technical analysis are Price action and volume. Last Friday's price action of the stock indicates that more buyers are coming into the market and made the stock's daily candlestick ended as Hammer (looking like a Hanging man though). Interestingly, this happened close to the first highlighted liquidity pool. Hammer candlestick is a bullish reversal pattern, especially when formed after a decline. However, I need further confirmation to finally flush bears out.

That confirmation will come in next trading day. I'm on a look-out for full bulls to take charge while maintaining the support on the first liquidity pool. If bulls however, did not show up early, then liquidity pool 2 below will be the alternative. Overall, we should always keep watching NSE ASI for other confirmation.

Chart 1 is the Daily and chart 2 is for weekly.

Happy Eid Mubarak!

I only pay one fee to CSCS online and I view all my stocks on the Exchange regardless of whether it is in my Morgan or United Capital account. United Capital has an online trading platform via investnow.ng. My brother, the Bull market didnt last long sad

He still writes his stockwatch, but people got seriously burnt or died believing he is an oracle or prophet of the the stock market.

The newspaper is a shadow of itself, you can get earning reports from research depts Capital Bancorp, FSDH securities or United Capital securities.

It is advisable for every investor to do his or her due diligence rather than relying on what a stock oracle or prophet will recommend in his investment seminars.

If you see the way this guy hyped BGL , Tetrazini, Big Treat, Universal Insurance, Geofluid, and another Oil company promoted by some young bankers. Old men were selling their blue-chip stocks and property to buy private placements and penny stocks courtesy of recommendations from the acclaimed stock market guru and prophet.
