hammer6: I AM NOT SHOCKED THAT U ARE FIERCELY PRO NIGERIA. @ the Beginning the Yorubas wanted a discentralize nigeria but ZIK n IRONSI Were the notorious PRO NIGERIAN YORUBA LAND WOULD HAVE BEEN A WASTE LAND WITHOUT NIGERIA. It's on record that prior to independent that the SW was quite ahead of every other region. And after independent Awolowo recorded lots of First as the premier of western region. Nigeria or no Nigeria the SW has and will always be great. U ARE BENEFITING FROM NIGERIA IMMENSELY. Who is stopping the igbos from benefiting from nigeria. During GEJ's tenure most of the Juicy positions went to the igbos when there is no Yoruba person in the number 1-10 in the corridor of power, yet yorubas didn't cry like a spoilt brat...Haba I AM SAYING THIS SO THOSE WONDERING WHY YORUBA ALWAYS APPEAR AS UNITY BEGGARS Whether Nigeria breaks or remain intact it has little or no effect on the SW...I can boldly tell you Yorubas are self sufficient and don't need to be forming attache by force with any tribe or people. THEY RAN A TRIBALISTIC HATE CAMPAIGN ON GEJ, CALLING HIM FISHER MAN ETC. Yorubas hate him When they Stood by him after the death of yaradua ensuring that that he was sworn-in as President through series of protest (EnoughIsEnough Group) and voted for him in 2011through the help of his then godfather OBJ n his clandenstine alliance with tinubu. 2015 you expect yorubas to vote for the man your leader KANU call incompetent. Not minding is blantant marginalization of the Yorubas during his tenure.Yorubas didn't went about crying, they only re-strategise. Haba THEY RUN TRIBALISTIC HATE CAMPAIGN ON IGBOS EVERYDAY. THIS IS WAT THEY WAKE UP EVERYDAY TO DO. The Last time I checked, the Social-cultural groups that has been supporting Ohaneaze all through this Biafra struggle is the AFENIFERE. How many times have Ohanaeze supported any Yoruba Cause. Yoruba Men like fayose, FFk, Odumakin, Aribisala etc were the ones that openly Identified with KANU when he was inprisoned when no igbo leaders stood for him...... Haba Conclusion: whether Igbos get biafra or not is non of our business, we're on the fence watching in 4D. |

Amberon11: The Niger Delta is the delta of the Niger River sitting directly on the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean in Nigeria.[1] It is typically considered to be located within nine coastal southern Nigerian states, which include: all six states from the South South geopolitical zone, one state (Ondo) from South West geopolitical zone and two states (Abia and Imo) from South East geopolitical zone. Of all the states that the region covers, only Cross River is not an oil-producing state. Niger Delta is a very densely populated region sometimes called the Oil Rivers because it was once a major producer of palm oil. The area was the British Oil Rivers Protectorate from 1885 until 1893, when it was expanded and became the Niger Coast Protectorate. The delta is a petroleum-rich region, and has been the centre of international controversy over pollution, corruption (notably by the Abacha regime), and human rights violations.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niger_Delta mr man do research next time before typing rubbish here next time.... |

Amberon11:The Bight of Biafra extends east of the Bight of Benin from the River Delta of the Niger in the north until it reaches Cape Lopez in Gabon.[2] Besides the Niger River, other rivers reaching the bay are the [Biafra] [Cross River]|Cross River]], Wouri River, Calabar River, Ndian, Wouri, Sanaga, Nyong River, Ntem, Mbia, Mbini, Muni and Komo River.[1] The main islands in the Bay are Bioko and Príncipe; other important islands are Ilhéu Bom Bom, Ilhéu Caroço, Elobey Grande and Elobey Chico.[1] Countries located at the Bight of Biafra are [[Biafra], Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko Island and Rio Muni), and Gabon (northern coast). History[edit] On 30 June 1849, Britain established a colonial protectorate over the Bight of Biafra,[Biafra] under the authority of the British Consuls of the Bight of Benin: May 1852 - 1853 Louis Fraser 1853 - April 1859 Benjamin Campbell April 1859 - 1860 George Brand 1860 - January 1861 Henry Hand January 1861 - May 1861 Henry Grant Foote May 1861 - 6 August 1861 William McCoskry (acting) On 6 August 1861, Biafra protectorate and the neighboring Benin protectorate (under its own British consuls) became a united British protectorate Bights of Biafra and Benin, again under British consuls: 1861 - December 1864 Richard Francis Burton December 1864 - 1873 Charles Livingstone 1873 - 1878 George Hartley 1878 - 13 September 1879 David Hopkins 13 September 1879 - 5 June 1885 Edward Hyde Hewett. From 16 July 1884, it merged into the British protectorate over Brass, Opobo, Aboh and Old Calabar (excluding Lagos Colony), which was confirmed on 5 June 1885, and named Oil Rivers Protectorate, where, on August 1891, effective consular administration was established, headed by a consul general (on 5 June 1885, the aforementoned former consul Edward Hyde Hewett became the first). The area would, in different steps, merge further via the 12 May 1893 Niger Coast Protectorate, 1 January 1900 (renamed Southern Nigeria Protectorate into which, on 16 February 1906, Lagos was incorporated), on 28 February 1906 made into the Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria. From 1 January 1914, it was part of Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria. Biafra was independent state from Nigeria in 1967, when after the Biafran War, the Nigerian government remove the name of the name bright of Biafra they considered secessionist. do u see how stupid some of the so called ss sounds when u deny ur roots?? go to youtube and see what sen.ben bruce said about a country without history... gosh some of u ppl re to disgusting...... |
