Its possible but it depends on how generous the School is and the offer available. I guess you would probably have to be there physically to stand a better chance.

So i googled "U.S student visa interview :nairaland" about 3weeks before my interview. I have a virgin passport, first time I'm applying for any visa and also, i applied to just one school. I literarily read every transcript form thread 9-11, coupled with fasting and prayer and after everything.........................hmm
It was approved
While on the queue, I didn't listen or look at the peeps being interviewed, cause I knew too much rejections might throw me off my game
I only listened when I was queued at window 5, and I was lucky enough to hear the V.O tell the guy being interviewed to keep is answers brief and straight to the point (my sister told me to give detailed explanations for every question and I planned to do just that). Surprisingly, the V.O started staring straight at me even though the guy being interviewed was still answering his questions. He rejected the guy, I stepped forward and my transcript goes thus:

V.O: Good morning (with a smile)
Me: Good morning (with my fake smile)

V.O: So why are you going to the U.S? (Starts typing)
Me: For my MLA

V.O: How many schools did you apply to?
Me: I considered three but applied to just one

V:O: Which schools did you consider?
Me: Colorado state Uni
Pennsylvania State Uni
WVU

V.O: What did you study as an undergrad?
Me: Botany

V.O: So what's the course about
Me: LARC utilizes core aspects of science and arts to produce the best use of........

V.O: You said Arts? So how does this relate to botany?
Me: A key part of botany is horticulture, which involves the use of ornamental plants for artistic purposes

V.O: *Nodds* (types furiously for what seemed like 24hrs) Study hard and goodluck (with a smile and an outstretched white paper

Hello All, I'm impressed to find this platform and read some of the success and failures. Indeed it is an eye opener and I wished I had known about this platform before now.
However, I have a serious issue. I had an interview for student visa last week and was denied, but somehow the VO didn't return my passport to me and by the time I found out and asked them to call inside and get it for me I was told it's not there. Pls how can I get it as I am certain she didn't return it to me.
I also plan to reapply as soon as I can find my passport and will be needing your help on how to prepare better and get the visa.

Let ur answer revolve around research interests [you shud know the research areas, the one that suits your career goals, the faculty member(s) along that line, current project(s) the faculty members are dealing with & hw equipped their lab(s) is(are)] and structure of curriculum[be conversant with the courses you'd be taking and hw they'd help you to achieve ur goals]

That's not good enough
you can always get that at other school or state too
Just do a proper study of the school and see what they really offer and how they've been immensely benefits for the students and you can talk about how unique the curriculum is... Please don't use old stale styles just package yours well and it will sell

I really wanna appreciate God almighty for everything. I have been on this journey since part6 (2014) but my visa was denied three times, so I had to take up other alternatives here by working at my place of work till God will say YES,. I also applied to Canada last year (Brandon University, Masters in Environmental & Life science) but visa was denied after 9weeks for Travel history & insufficient funds. All I believe is God's time will always be the best.. (Story for another day before Oga justwise go vex)

Please I have I-20 to a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) programme, have booked for interview. But my confusion now is; having sent sponsor Bank statement, Letter and affidavit to school before issuing me the I-20 form, do I need to appear in the interview with another Bank Statement? Is it a required document for F-1 visa interview? And what are the likely impacts of not coming with bank statement on my chances?[b][/b] Am confused because my sponsor traveled and may not return before the interview date to give instruction to bank for the statement.

In short: was sponsor bank statement asked during the interview?

Where ur destination . But why waiting till u get to the airport to book. Its way more expensive that way than to book it online in advance

Maryland na backyard of JFK....... Not too far. You can even take a bus or train no need to fly but can fly as well ... which part of MD are u going ?.

If the statement is not later than 6 months, then you're fine. All interviews are unique, so you may or may not be asked for it eventually (I wasn't asked), but it's safe to take it and any other supporting documents with you.

Check Wakanow. Turkish air is around =N=306k that's what I bought. There are cheaper ones like Air Maroc and Egypt air around =N=278k
