Looks like most of Canada Universities consider it actually. Just search for Universities, check if they have your intended program and read the Admissions requirements carefully. You’ll find the info there if they consider it.

Reads like this "A cumulative weighted average of at least 70% in the last two years of full-time study (e.g. 60 credit unit equivalent)”.

All the best.
thanks brother mi... Your head dey there. U have given me hope. God bless u in every angle.

Hello

I want to submit my study permit application this week but I was refused visa to the Uk in 2015 but I have actually gotten several visas to the Uk before then and I just stated that I was refused in 2015 in my application. Do i need to also state reasons why? Or Just saying I was refused in 2015 is fine? Also please is there anyone that can proof-read my sop.

Thanks in advance.

Ma'am, admission would always be on a rolling basis. Meaning, as soon as they review your application, an offer should be made and only your school can give you the exact time frame to grant admision. It will surely come well ahead for your study permit application against jan 2018.

Secondly, the major reason it is advisable to apply first for your study permit before applying for family members is to sufficiently demonstrate strong home ties. Notwithstanding, if you have other VERY strong home ties and enough funds to cater for your kids as well as convince officers that they will not be a distraction to your study in canada, then you can apply for them alongside your application.

You and your kids CAN be granted visas for your study purpose but the onus and burden will be on you to convincingly demostrate other strong hometies, sufficient funds and most importantly, prove to the visa officer that your primary intention is to study. Also, depending on your kids ages, you will have to clearly show plans to keep them occupied while you study.

Your husband living and owning a business in dubai may not demonstrate strong hometie to nigeria, so while you wait for your offer from the schools you applied to, you should strategize around a strong hometie. This is really IMPORTANT. (i'd say apply alone first and later apply for visiting visas for your kids. It can be as soon as you arrive canada. They won't have to wait till after your program)

Meanwhile, i want to believe your current activity(job) is related to your intended program or atleast, you have some activity in what you intend to study.

Regards

Thank you for your advice , my husband also owned a company in Nigeria as well ,he will b coming with us ,so we can state that my husband will look after the kids when I'm off to school .my choice of study is not really in line with what I'm presently doing ,I studied sociology in school, ve done teaching job in dubai for 1yr plus, and I'm currently running a fashion school in Nigeria here .I ve my docs from CAC as a company registered name .we have 3 landed properties in Nigeria. abj, kaduna ,lokoja and our home town which I guess can serve as home ties. I applied for Hospitality and Tourism operation management course in a college in Ontario and also for another course in Social work .
please do you ve any idea how much one need to ve in account to prove that we are capable to stay and study in Canada along side with 3kids ?

Hello boss,

Your husband and kids going with you is actually not the issue.

The main issue is how do you intend to link your past course, work experience and intended course. They seem disjoint. Until, you are able to fix this issue, I am afraid you might meet certain hurdles... But then, nothing is impossible.

Are you suggesting she can apply with them all at the same time?

What will be her home tie as main applicant?

state the reasons u were denied, it won't affect ur present trv application in anyway. make sure u scan all the pages of the visas u have gotten in the past to show u have been traveling to uk (that's if u are going via online route)

State it clearly the reason please, the only reason past refusal can affect you negatively is when it is based on fraud and am sure that ain't your case.

Not to discourage you or anything. Your profile is very complicated and visa approval is slim.
First one is the inconsistency you have in your education. Sociology, teaching, fashion, hospitality and management. It cannot fly even with the best SOP.
Second one is you want to go with your 3 kids and even your husband. Those are the main people you can use as hometies. Questions like who is going to run your husband's business will arise cos you have stated that he will be in charge of the children.
I'll advise you to find a course related to your undergraduate since you don't have any substantial work experience in either teaching or fashion.
Don't apply with all your children . Trust me they can join you later. Taking 3 kids along with you when you want to go study doesn't paint a picture of a serious student IMO. And Later can be as early as 2 months.
Just my opinion.

Boss,

She stated other home ties. My opinion is based on her wanting her husband and kids to join her.

Like I said, that is not actually the crux of the matter. The main matter is linking her past to the present and future programme/plan.

Do you think when she has all her family with her in Canada any other landed property hometie is relevant? I don't think so.
I agree with you on the program and work experience inconsistency sha.

Someone here got her trv with her kids discluding her husband as the primary home tie. But taking all the family along in my own opinion is gonna be very hard. i agree with what @Mazuide advice.

I completely agree with you.

@bettylad, your application will appeal more like an economic migrant than a genuine student. Your purpose of visit will certainly be questioned. There is huge inconsistency in your profile and your outward intention of going with all your family members will not even help matters. I mean, you mentioned your husband will take care of the kids, he will be expected to be working and supporting the family while also taking care of the business back in nigeria since you will be on full time study. So his stay in canada will be assumed a temporary one or atleast not being around most of the time. Using that line will be shooting your self in the foot. Landed properties are not stronger hometies than family, they can be sold off at anytime for any reason. Family in nigeria have always been the strongest of them all even if it's just one immediate family member.

All the same, fix your purpose of visit first just like @likeababygirl and @maziude mentioned. It is the start off point.
